What you should know about Daniel:

How Daniel started fishing

Club tournaments at age 12 is how i got started in this sport.

Aspirations or goals with fishing

Favorite way to fish

Sight fishing is probably my most favorite thing to do. Now with the new technology in pan optics and other livescope units we can site fish all year technically.

Most exciting fishing experience

My most exciting fishing experinces are with my kids. Seeing them catch fish makes my heart whole for sure.

How Daniel preps for a tournament

Generally I like to reline my rods every two tournaments depending on location of the body of water or length of the tournament that can change it all. I like to orginize my equipment so its easy to rig anything i wanna change up on the water. I always test my livewell pumps and bilge before each tournament and make sure they are gonna fire up when needed.

Three favorite search baits

My primary three most used search baits i like the most is pretty simple. I like a Zoom Fluke as long as water temp is above 60 degrees. Swim jig is my next search bait. And I always keep a bladed jig tyed on no matter where I go.

Best tournament finish and what you did that day when you were fishing.

Most challenging part of tournament fishing

Keeping your mind off of what you have in the livewell is probably the most difficult for me. Once I learned to just fish and trust my gut it got alot easier for me. Fish for five not size the worry about size once you get five.

When tournaments don't go my way

Go back to what got you started in this sport to begin with. Just FISH!!!

Advice to give to an aspiring tournament angler:

Don't be scared to jump in too some tournaments. Don't let the pressure of winning get in your way. You are gonna lose way more than you win just go have fun and enjoy your time on the water.

Some shared general bass fishing techniques for people just getting into the sport

Two of the best and probaly easiest ways to catch bass all year is on a shakey head jig by Owner with a green pumpkin trick worm by Zoom, or with a Zman Ned rig matched with a Green pumpkin Zman Ned worm.
