Metzger wins on Pascagoula
February 11. 2023, Gautier, Mississippi, Division 27 anglers launched from Indian Point near Gautier, Mississippi. Thirteen anglers of these anglers brought back five-fish limits to the scales, but when the scales closed Kyle Metzger took the victory with a total weight of 12.74 lbs. He accredited his win to finding clear water and being stealthy in approach to a target. For the win, Kyle took home $539 in prize money.
Second among the competitors was Alan Hults with 5 fish that locked in the scales at 12.51 lbs. For his efforts, Alan took home $317 in prize money.
Third place was claimed by Kyle Hill with 5 fish and a total weight of 11.12 lbs. For Kyle's efforts, he took home $101.
Fourth Place was claimed by Mike McAdams with 5 fish and a total weight of 11.05 lbs. He took home $72 for his efforts.
The Biggest Bass of the tournament was caught by Kyle Hill. His fish locked in the scales at 5.76 lbs. earning him $105 in prize money.

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
