American Fishing Tour 2023 Championship Lake Hartwell
Friday, February 3, 2023, Athens, AL. The American Fishing 2023 Championship online registration will begin on Monday, July 10, 2023, at 8 am. This year’s championship will be on Lake Hartwell in Anderson, SC Launching out of Green Pond Landing located at 470 Green Pond Rd, Anderson, SC 29625, on October 11, 12, and 13.
The event is hosted by Visit Anderson.
The event is seven days long, with Official Practice starting on Saturday, October 7, and continuing Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. After Practice, there are three days of competition beginning Wednesday, October 11, and concluding on Friday. Weigh-ins at Green Pond Landing will be held at 3 pm on Wednesday and Thursday and beginning at 2 pm on Friday, the final day.
The entry fee for the event is $170, and there are a couple of optional payout funds available. Big bass is $10 per day, and the big bass each day will win a 100% payout of the big bass pot. Anglers can create a 4-man team and enter the team competition where teams combined weights are to determine the top team at the event. First, Second and third place are awarded cash payout from this pool.

The 2023 Champion will receive a Caymas/Mercury Boat package valued at over $60,000. The angler of the year will also a Caymas/Mercury Boat package valued at over $60,000. An angler cannot win more than one boat at this event, so if the AOY and the Champion are the same person second place will win the Caymas/Mercury Boat package, and first place would receive second place payout.
A cash payout will go through 15% of the field as well as the individual awards of the 2023 Hall of Fame, Service Team Awards, and Draw Prizes, which will be given away.
Off-limits for this event begins September 10, 2023, at sunset and will continue through Saturday, October 7 at safe daylight. During this off-limits period, Practice, and competition days, other than using publicly available information (e.g., newspaper, periodical, and Internet reports) competitors cannot solicit, receive or gather any information via phone, electronic devices or any other means about locating or catching fish on tournament waters.

Late Fee: All entries must be postmarked, completed an online entry, or called in before 5 pm, September 22th, 2023. All entries received after this date will be assessed a $25 late fee. Entries for this event will cease at 12 noon Tuesday, October 10th, 2023

Four Angler Team Competition Optional: $80 per four angler team (Collected onsite)

During the off-limits periods, Practice, and competition days, other than using publicly available information (e.g., newspaper, periodical, and Internet reports) competitors cannot solicit, receive, or gather any information via phone, electronic devices, or any other means about locating or catching fish on tournament waters. THERE SHALL BE NO EXCEPTIONS. No contestant may enter the tournament water for the purpose of catching or locating possible fishing locations after this meeting or after each day's weigh-in.
Practice Period: Saturday, October 7 at safe daylight through Tuesday at 3 pm
During official practice, contestants may only pre-fish alone, with a member of his/her immediate family, another contestant of the tournament, a national sponsor of American Bass Anglers, or a member of American Bass Anglers staff.
Tournament: Wednesday, October 11, Thursday, October 12, Friday, October 13

Registration Requirements - Contestants must have fished a minimum of four (4) one day tournaments to be eligible to compete in a 2-day Divisional Championship. To qualify for the National Championship anglers must have fished four (4) one-day tournaments and one (1) two-day tournament.
