Duane Houk wins on Clark's Hill Lake!

October 09, 2022 McCormick, SC, 27 anglers launched from Dorn ramp between McCormick, SC and Lincolnton, GA.  24 of those anglers brought back five-fish limits to the scales, but when the scales closed Duane Houk from Evans, GA took the victory with 17.08lb.  Duane anchored that bag with a 4.97lb largemouth.  For the win Houk took home $660 for the first place finish, plus an additional $156 for the first place option pot for a combined total of $816.

Second amongst the competitors was Donald Brooks, also from Evans, GA, with 5 bass that locked in the scales at 15.85lb anchored with a 5.91lb largemouth. Donald took down the second place prize money of $404 as well as the second place option pot of $114. Donald's anchor fish was also the Big Fish of the day, reeling him in an additional $135 bringing his combined total to $653. Good catch Donald!

Third place was claimed by Kim Neal of Easley, SC with 5 good fish and a total weight of 15.00lb anchored with a 4.96lb largmouth. For his efforts he took home $144. 

Rounding out our last paid position was Donald Miller of Thomson, GA.  His fish locked in the scales at 14.11lb with a 5.55lb kicker largemouth, earning him $115 in prize money.

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.

The American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All anglers fish for both money and points. The points advance the angler to their divisional championship and the top 500 anglers in the US are invited to the American Fishing Tour National Championship.
