Tunney Takes the win on Allatoona

09/17/2022 Acworth, GA. Nick Tunney of Acworth, GA won the American Fishing Tour GA North 125 tournament presented by American Bass Anglers. Running out of Galts Ferry Landing near Acworth, GA Nick Tunney brought back 5 Fish that locked in the scales at 12.62 anchored by a 3.23 kicker. For the victory, Nick Tunney took home a check for 813.00.

Second place was claimed by Kelly Bagley with 5 Fish and a total weight of 9.86. For his efforts, Kelly Bagley took home 562.00 in prize money.

Michel Purvis took third with 5 Fish and a total weight of 9.21 and took home 295.00 in prize money.

The Biggest Bass of the tournament was caught by Jamie Payne. His fish locked in the scales at 3.39 earning him 255.00.

Entry Fee for the American Fishing Tour one-day events are $70 and as you can see the payout is great for the weekend angler!

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.

Donald Beck of Social Circle, GA won the American Fishing Tour Division 25 SC Northwest tournament presented by American Bass Anglers.  Running out of Highway 72 ramp between Elberton and Calhoun Falls, it was 66 degrees when we hit the water for a tough day of fishing, and warmed up to 81 degrees by our 3:00 pm weigh-in. Water temps were in still in the mid-70s to low 80s depending on what part of the lake you were on. Conditions were just right for Donald Beck who brought back five good ones that locked in the scales at 12.95 lbs.  For the victory,  Beck took home the winner’s trophy and $709 cash, as well as the first-place option pot for another $186, making a grand total of $895. Congratulations Donald on an outstanding finish!

JACKSON, Miss – William “Taz” K. Matetzsc won the ABA Top 150 Solo Series Wildcard Tournament, Presented by Caymas Boats, held Sept. 9-10, 2022, on Ross Barnett Reservoir near Jackson, Miss. The anglers ran out of Madison Landing in Ridgeland, Miss. to fish the 33,000-acre impoundment. With two solid days of good fishing, Matetzsc from Blairsville, Ga. won the Wildcard by nearly three pounds. He finished with two daily 5-bass tournament limits to take the victory with 23.97 pounds.
