Dowynn Brown Takes the Win on Seminole

Dowynn Brown from Bainbridge, Ga,is one step closer to the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour National Championship with a first place win in the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour Seminole Division 114 bass tournament held on Lake Seminole November 14, 2021. Dowynn’s limit weighed in at 25.90 pounds.  Big Bass was awarded to David Howell for catching a 7.54 lb large mouth.

These anglers are acquiring valuable points to insure their birth in to the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour National Championship. Their points are also being used to determine the divisional angler of the year. The top angler by points earned in this division will represent the division in the Angler of the Year final round.

The top six anglers were:
1. Dowynn Brown        28.27  lbs.                        
2. Brad Reynalds       25.50  lbs.
3. Donald Cutchins     15.97  lbs.
4. Brad Enfinger       14.40  lbs.
5. David Howell        09.80  lbs.
6. Nic Brown           09.27  lbs.   

Conditions: The day was cold with plenty of sunshine! The lake water was stained.

Winning Strategy: Dowynn's pattern was fishing grass lines!

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.

The American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All anglers fish for both money and points. The points advance the angler to their divisional championship and the top 500 anglers in the US are invited to the American Fishing Tour National Championship next fall on Alabama’s Lake Eufaula.
