2022 Ray Scott Championship Lake Eufaula

ATHENS, Ala. – October 25, 2021 -- American Bass Anglers announced today that the 2021 Ray Scott Championship, will be hosted by The City of Eufaula, AL, and event registration will open on November 1, 2021.  The event will take place April 2-9, 2022, at Lake Walter F George (AKA Eufaula) launching at Lake Point State Park, Eufaula AL.

Two hundred boaters and co-anglers from the American Bass Anglers Open Series 2021 season will be invited to compete for cash and prizes.

Lake Eufaula is a 45,000-acre lake located on the Chattahoochee River that extends north/south along the Alabama/Georgia State line.  This beautiful lake is nationally known for being a great bass fishery and its beautiful scenery.  Eufaula/Barbour County Chamber of Commerce has hosted numerous events for American Bass Anglers in which the anglers receive a warm welcome from the local community with its small hometown charm.

“Lake Eufaula is the perfect location for this event, I know anglers are looking forward to coming to one of Alabama’s most talked about lakes and experiencing the hospitality of Eufaula,” said Morris Sheehan, President of American Bass Anglers. “Mayor Tibbs and all of Eufaula/Barbour County always rolls out the red carpet for our anglers, weigh-in will be at 3 pm daily and the public is invited”

“We are super excited for the Ray Scott Championship to be held in Eufaula.  Ray is near and dear to all our hearts and what a great way to prove it!  Eufaula is ready for the anglers!  We have some great new additions to our downtown so check that out when you get here!” said Ann Sparks, Director of Main Street Eufaula.

American Bass Anglers' commitment is to provide low-cost, close-to-home tournaments for the weekend angler and at the same time offer each competitor an upward path for individual angler progression.
