American Bass Anglers Top 150 Solo Series
2022 Series Information
The Top 150 Solo Series is back with a new schedule plus adding to the excitement is a Wildcard event and a Solo Championship paying out $25,000 to the winner. Divisional events will have a 150-boat field This is a boater-only series, with each event held on Friday/Saturday and offers anglers a chance to advance to the Series Championship.
150 SOLO SERIES SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Until further notice – social distancing and face coverings will follow State and Local government requirements at all ABA tournament functions including on-site registration, morning boat launch, and rules meeting, during weigh-ins and awards presentations. REMINDER – all events will operate slower than normal due to COVID restrictions so, please be patient.
The 150 Solo Series will have two divisions, one in the Southeast and one in the Southwest plus a year-end Championship. Dates and lakes are:

Priority Package Registration – Priority Package entries will be accepted beginning 8:00 am CST on October 18, 2021, from Angler who fished the 2021 season.
Open Package Entry: Package entries will be accepted beginning at 8:00 am CST on October 19, 2021.
Open Registration Deposits – Deposits will be accepted beginning at 8:00 am CST on October 19, 2021
Single Entries: Registration begins at 8:00 am CST on October 25, 2021
Entry Fee – $600 per event
Divisional Package Registration - $1800, three events within a division, will be given priority slot. If more than 150 registrations are received, anglers will be placed on a waiting list in order of date and time of entry.
Divisional Registration Deposit - $900, non-refundable deposit will be accepted for all events within a division and be given priority entry. The balance of the entry fee will be due on or before January 25, 2022, no exceptions. If more than 150 registrations are received, anglers will go on a waiting list and entered into the event based on the date and time of entry.
Single Event Registrations - $600, per event, all single registrations will go on a waiting list. If an event has less than a full field, anglers from the waiting list will be selected to fill the vacant slots based on the date and time of registration.
Waiting List – Anglers on the waiting list will be selected for events based on the date/time of registration, anglers will be notified ten days prior to the event of their acceptance. Any angler on the waiting list not accepted to an event will receive a full refund or have the entry moved to another event.
Wildcard Event Registration – Anglers who have fished two or more events within a division and did not qualify for the Championship are eligible to enter - $600 entry fee will be accepted after June 18, 2022, the completion of all divisional events.
Solo Championship - $600 entry fee. The registration date will be announced after Divisional events have been completed.
Angler Points and Advancement
Point System – All qualifying events and the championship are worth 250 points to first place anglers. Points will be awarded in 1-point decreasing increments. Contestants not weighing fish will receive 50 points.
Angler of the Year – Each division will have an Angler of the Year (AOY) and will be determined by the total points accrued by anglers who have fished all events within a division plus Championship.
Advancement - The top 15 points holders from each Division will earn a slot in the Championship, providing the anglers have fished all three of their divisional events.
Wildcard Event - The top 5 anglers by place of finish will earn a slot in the Championship. This Wildcard event is not a points event.
Championship – The top 5 anglers by points from each Division after the Championship will advance to the Ray Scott Championship.

Troy Woodham Takes the win on Lake Mitchell
October 16, 2021, Clanton, AL. Thirty anglers launched from Higgins Ferry Park near Clanton, AL. Thirteen of those anglers brought back five-fish limits to the scales, but when the scales closed Troy Woodham from Prattville, AL took the victory with 14.02 pounds. For the win Woodham took home $680 in prize money. His bag was anchored by a 6.51 pound Big Bass earning him another $150.
Ben & Ashley Sutton Take the Win on Clark’s Hill
The first event of the 2022 South Carolina ABA Couples season was held on Clark’s Hill out of Hickory Knobb State Park. It was a beautiful day to be on the water. Ben & Ashley Sutton came out on top of the field of 22 teams with 5 bass weighing 13.01 lbs. Ben & Ashley were awarded $825 for their first-place finish.
Team Tour Championship Postponed
Out of an overabundance of caution The Team Tour Championship that was scheduled for 10/10-11/2020 on Wheeler Lake has be postponed. The National Weather Service is forecasting winds of 10-20 mph with gust up to 35mph for Saturday, and winds of 10-15 mph with gust up to 20 mph Sunday. The safety of our anglers is the number on concern and factor when making the tough decisions on postponing a tournament. The new dates for the Team Tour Championship will be November 21-22 on Wheeler Lak
