Chris Smith Takes the win on Koronis
Chris Smith won the American Fishing Tour District 44 tournament held on Kronis Lake near Paynesville, MN. Chris brought back a 5 fish limit that locked in the scales at 18.36 pounds anchored by a 4.31 Big Bass.
Chris caught mossy of his fish in 5-10’ using and rig and took home $478 for the win.
Second place was claimed by Jesse Wentland with a 5 fish limit and a total weight of 18.12. For his efforts, Jesse took home $268 in prize money.
JEFF Fritz took third with a 5 fish limit and a total weight of 17.81 and took home $86 in prize money.

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. Kenny Turner Takes the Win on Lay Lake
September 24, 2022, Clanton, AL. Twenty-three anglers launched from Flatlands Boat Launch near Clanton, AL. Eight of those anglers brought back five-fish limits to the scales, but when the scales closed Kenny Turner of Billingsley, AL took the victory with 11.57 pounds. For the victory, Turner took home $579 in prize money.
Fristik Pulls Out A Big Win On Lake Oneida
BREWERTON, N.Y. – Henry J. Fristik came from behind with a big bag on the final day to win the Boater Division of the American Bass Anglers Open Series, Presented by Caymas Boats, 2-day Area 9 Championship, held Sept. 24-25, 2022, on Oneida Lake.
Matetzsc Wins Top 150 Solo Series Wildcard
JACKSON, Miss – William “Taz” K. Matetzsc won the ABA Top 150 Solo Series Wildcard Tournament, Presented by Caymas Boats, held Sept. 9-10, 2022, on Ross Barnett Reservoir near Jackson, Miss. The anglers ran out of Madison Landing in Ridgeland, Miss. to fish the 33,000-acre impoundment. With two solid days of good fishing, Matetzsc from Blairsville, Ga. won the Wildcard by nearly three pounds. He finished with two daily 5-bass tournament limits to take the victory with 23.97 pounds.
