Danny & Virginia Christ win on Santee Cooper
Santee Cooper was the site of the 9th event for the SC Couples trail with only 1 more to go! Our next event will be on Lake Russell out of Richard B Russell State Park on May 15th with our year-end event to follow weigh-in. We had 14 teams compete May 1st on Santee Cooper including the visiting team of Danny & Virginia Christ from Lake Eufaula. Our couples brought 34 bass to the scales with a total weight of 87.05 pounds with 100% of the fish released. The visiting AFT Director, Danny and Virginia Christ took the win on Santee Cooper. Their limit of bass also included the Men’s and Ladies’ big bass of the event. Danny’s big bass weighed in at 5.12 and Virginia’s big bass weighed 3.31 earning $70 and $65 respectively.
Randy and Jamie Gibson came in second with a limit of 15.00 pounds, earning them $325.
John & Susan Mills took third with 5 bass for 13.25 pounds, earning $175.
Tom & Missy Bancroft brought the Smallest Limit to the scales to earn the $50 prize sponsored by Berkeley Outdoors.

D58 Hosts McConnell AFB
Joseph Yocum fished with Loren Graves and won Airman 1st place and Big Bass. He had 11.38 lbs anchored with the big one that went 4.5 lbs. John Vanderpool guided Matthew LeBrun to 2nd place with 8.13 lbs; 3rd place went to Jacob Dalzell who fished with Kirk Kelly and had 6.88 lbs. Pictures are posted at www.centralmidwestbass.com.
Whitehead Takes Win at Weiss Lake
ATHENS, Ala. – Jason Whitehead win’s the 2021 Bass Pro Shop Open Series North Alabama Division Tournament, held May 22nd on Weiss Lake. We had 41 boaters with 27 co-anglers for the third stop of the season. Running out of Leesburg Landing in Leesburg Al.
Team Tour Championship Postponed
Out of an overabundance of caution The Team Tour Championship that was scheduled for 10/10-11/2020 on Wheeler Lake has be postponed. The National Weather Service is forecasting winds of 10-20 mph with gust up to 35mph for Saturday, and winds of 10-15 mph with gust up to 20 mph Sunday. The safety of our anglers is the number on concern and factor when making the tough decisions on postponing a tournament. The new dates for the Team Tour Championship will be November 21-22 on Wheeler Lak
