Tennessee Central Division 3 Opens at Center Hill

ATHENS, Al. –  The Tennessee Central Division Bass Pro Shops Open Series Season Opener will be March 13,2021 on Center Hill Lake going out of Ragland Bottom. 

This event is earlier than the 2020 event and should produce better and heaver stringers with temps forecast to be in the mid-50s and warming to the upper 60s.  Last year’s Center Hill event was won by boater Hunter Boldin from McMinnville TN with 15.04 pounds catching is limit on a swim bait.  The co-angler winner was Dean Hesse from Brandenburg KY with 7.64 lbs. 

On-site check in will be Friday March 12th from 4:30 to 6:30pm at Ragland Bottoms ramp at the ABA weigh-in trailer, pairings will be texted shortly after close of check-in.  If you have a valid freedom pass you may call the tournament director Floyd Vaughn and check-in by phone prior to 4pm.  The mandatory rules and safety briefing will be held Saturday morning with all boats in the water just prior to sendoff. 

Anglers are asked to wear masks or face coverings during registration and weigh-in and adhere to social distancing guidelines. 

Contingency programs for ABA Open Series events are, Triton Gold – win up to $7000; Mercury Marine – win up to $1000; Motor Guide – win up to $500; T-H Marin – win up to $1250.  Also, discount incentives for ABA members are available on Optima Batteries, Power Pole, Engel Coolers and Hotel Planner.com.
