Alabama South Opener on Eufaula
ATHENS, Ala. – The Alabama South Division of the 2021 Bass Pro Shops Open Series will hold the first event of the season on Lake Eufaula, Saturday, February 13, 2021, Eufaula, AL, launching out of Lake Point State Park.

On this same weekend last year, Ryan Ingram of Phenix City, AL, won the boater side caught five bass weighing 15.99 pounds. Kenny Moore of Salem, AL, won the Co-Angler side of the event with a three-fish limit of 9.13 pounds.
"I caught me a few of my fish shallow on a spinnerbait, and then the rest came on a Carolina-rig on a road-bed. It was cold, windy, muddy, and tough today.", Ingram said.
In second for the boaters, Ethan Greene of Eufaula, AL, landed a five-bass tournament limit going 15.89 pounds. "I caught my fish cranking in 15ft-20ft of water. It was real slow fishing today." Greene said.
Tony Adams of Tifton, GA, took third for the boaters with five bass going 15.85 pounds. "I caught my fish today on a speed worm on the south end of the lake," Adams said.
The big bass award for the boaters went to Chandler Teems of Leeds, AL for a big bass that weighed 6.81 pounds. "It was really tough today. I only had three bites all day. I caught that big bass on a Zoom Bait Horny Toad shallow." Teems said.
Finishing fourth, Rodger Beaver Jr of Dawson, GA landed a five-bass limit for 14.81 pounds. Rick Hoefle of Ozark, AL rounded out the top five boaters with three bass at 14.20 pounds.
Anglers fishing the Boater Division may weigh in up to five bass, each at least 14 inches for Largemouth and 12 inches on Spotted Bass, and Co-anglers may weigh in up to three bass of the same length limits.
