Cannon Wins Tough Event on Cross Lake
Shreveport, LA, Bass Pro Shops Fishing Louisiana Central Division 48 held its fifth tournament of the season on January 16 on Cross Lake located in Shreveport, LA. Mike Cannon of Haughton, LA won the event with 13.66 pounds.
What proved to be a tough day on the lake with cool temps, a north breeze, and water temps in the lower forties, Mike was the only angler to bring in a full limit of Bass. Brandon Tingle of Stonewall, LA had four fish that weighed 13.38 for second place.
Jeff Pate of Heflin, LA, and a previous AFT AOY took third with 8.15 pounds with three keeper bass. Big Bass of the event was brought in by Brandon Greco of Keithville, LA weighing 5.34 pounds.
The Bass Pro Shops Fishing Louisiana Central division 48's next tournament is on February 20 on Bistineau out of the Plum Orchard Ramp located in Doyline, LA.

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. Each division's points champion will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. The top 500 anglers from the various divisions will also earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.

North GA Couples kicks off 2021 season with double header on Lake Lanier.
October 3 brought post frontal winds and bluebird skies, starting the day off with waning harvest moon. With some fall transition it made for some challenging fishing but beautiful weather to be on the lake. With 8 teams fishing there was only one limit brought to the scales but all others had at least one keeper to weigh, with exception of one team who had to leave lake early due to boat problems.
Cruvellier Wins $5000 in Alabama South Season Opener on Lake Eufaula
ATHENS, Al. –Robert Cruvellier won the 2021 Bass Pro Shops Open Series Alabama South Division tournament, held February 13th on Lake Eufaula. Running out of Lakepoint Resort State Park in Eufaula, AL the Auburn University angler from Alburg, VT caught five bass weighing 23.71 pounds. For the Boater Division victory, Cruvellier took home a check for $5000 for his win.
Team Tour Championship Postponed
Out of an overabundance of caution The Team Tour Championship that was scheduled for 10/10-11/2020 on Wheeler Lake has be postponed. The National Weather Service is forecasting winds of 10-20 mph with gust up to 35mph for Saturday, and winds of 10-15 mph with gust up to 20 mph Sunday. The safety of our anglers is the number on concern and factor when making the tough decisions on postponing a tournament.
