New Schedule and Directors for Kansas Division 58
Athens, AL January 22, 2020. Today American Bass Anglers announce new directors for American Fishing Tour Division 58 located in southeastern Kansas. Becky Minor and Mark Moody. Becky Minor has been running events in Kansas for over 20 years.
The division will center around Big Hill Lake which is one of the interesting lakes in Kansas. Located in Labette County about 5 miles east of Cherryvale, Kansas, Big Hill is known as one of the cleanest and clearest lakes in Kansas. It has a max depth of 60 and holds a good population of both Large and quality Smallmouth bass.
The first event of the season for Division 58 is March 20th and all of the division’s events will go out of Mound Valley Park located on the southern end of the lake.

Here is how to qualify for the 2021 Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour Championship. First, join American Bass Anglers as a member. An ABA Membership allows you to compete in any qualifying tournament that ABA operates. Next, find a Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour in your local area. To qualify, you must fish a minimum of four one-day qualifying events and compete in one two-day divisional Championship. Members can track their progress online at americanbassangles.com of their results and national point standings. The top 500 anglers nationally by points are invited to compete in this Championship. The top 250 are invited as boaters, and 251-500 are invited to fish as non-boaters.

North GA Couples kicks off 2021 season with double header on Lake Lanier.
October 3 brought post frontal winds and bluebird skies, starting the day off with waning harvest moon. With some fall transition it made for some challenging fishing but beautiful weather to be on the lake. With 8 teams fishing there was only one limit brought to the scales but all others had at least one keeper to weigh, with exception of one team who had to leave lake early due to boat problems.
Maryland Division 21 Headed to The Potomac
ATHENS, Ala. – The Maryland Division of the Bass Pro Shops Open Series operated by American Bass Anglers will hold its first event of the season on March 13, 2021 on The Potomac River out of Marbury MD, 20658.
With weather forecasted to be in the mid-50s at Saturday morning at sendoff and in the 60s during the day could produce some heavy weight stringers. In the first event last season Robert Henderson from King George VA took first place boater honors with a weight of 13.91 pounds and Timothy Adams of Powder Springs GA topped the co-angler side with 8.04 pounds.
Team Tour Championship Postponed
Out of an overabundance of caution The Team Tour Championship that was scheduled for 10/10-11/2020 on Wheeler Lake has be postponed. The National Weather Service is forecasting winds of 10-20 mph with gust up to 35mph for Saturday, and winds of 10-15 mph with gust up to 20 mph Sunday. The safety of our anglers is the number on concern and factor when making the tough decisions on postponing a tournament.
