LES CHARLES Wins D72 on OCONEE
Les Charles of Milledgeville, Ga brought the winning sack to the scale at the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour D72 event held on Lake Oconee on November 21, 2020. Les won $813 cash and the first place trophy for his 5 fish limit totaling 16.37 pounds. He said he was fishing docks mid lake south, flipping Big Bite Baits jigs.
Tommy Graddy finished in second place with a total weight of 16.25 pounds, winning $562 cash and a trophy. He secured his sack with a 6.73 pounder which won the trophy for Big Bass and additional cash of $510 for the optional big bass pot. Tommy said he was flipping a jig at docks when he caught his big bass.
There were 51 anglers competing in the tournament. The weather was nice with mild temperatures and clear skies.

After the trophies and cash awards were presented,Director Benny Howell gave draw prizes to the anglers present. The lucky winners of four $50 bills were Eugene Stinson, Randy Woodham, Stephen Vowell, and Cory McGaha. The winner of a $50 Sugar Creek Marina gift card was Carl Wilson. Frank Speights brought some Army draw prizes which were won by Buck Eubanks and Sean Capes.

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers BPSFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the BPSFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, BPSFT National Championship tournament.
