North GA Couples kicks off 2021 season with double header on Lake Lanier.

October 3 brought post frontal winds and bluebird skies, starting the day off with waning harvest moon. With some fall transition it made for some challenging fishing but beautiful weather to be on the lake. With 8 teams fishing there was only one limit brought to the scales but all others had at least one keeper to weigh, with exception of one team who had to leave lake early due to boat problems. The five fish bag brought to the scales by Keith and Brenda Preston won the tournament with a weight of 9.21 and earned Brenda Ladies Big Bass with a nice 2.75 pound spot.  Men’s Big Bass was snagged by Roger White. Billy and Jerri Beam took second place with two fish weighing 4.18.

Tough conditions seemed to scare a couple of teams off for October 4—another beautiful day on the lake with less winds and slightly more cloud cover. With four teams fishing we had two limits weighed in and once again Brenda Preston landed the Ladies Big Bass that weighed 2.63, which helped them secure the first place spot. Mike Blalock had a nice 3.5 pounder for Men’s Big Bass.
