Schedule of Events

Registration Begins August 3rd, 2020

FORMAT CHANGE: Due to the situation with COVID-19 we are required to change our tournament procedures to comply with National, State and Local Government requirements to reduce the possibility of spreading the virus.  The daily procedures will be slower than usual but be patient, your health and wellbeing are what ABA is concerned about.  The following are mandatory procedures and sequence of events for the tournament.

  1. All anglers are required to wear face mask/protection, use hand sanitizer and maintain social distance of 6ft minimum during registration and weigh-ins.  Mask are suggested but not required while fishing.
  2. During on-site registration mask and/or face protection is required.
  3. Angler will be required to fill out and sign a Liability Release at time of registration.
  4. At time of registration, anglers will hand their Liability Release to the check-in person.
  5. After being checked in – anglers will receive a goodie bag and box meal then exit the inside area, do not linger go outside.  There will not be a Wednesday sit-down Meal
  6. The tournament rules and safety briefing will be held Thursday morning on-the-water, insure you and partner are in the water prior to safe light.
  7. Flight and boat numbers will be sent via text message after registration has closed
  8. Weigh-in Procedures – During weigh-ins face protection is mandatory and the 6ft distancing rule will be in effect.  The following are mandatory weigh-in procedures.
    1. Only ABA weigh-in bags will be used – only 15 bags will be put out.
    2. Holding tanks will be used however, only two anglers are permitted at a tank.
    3. Anglers will deliver their fish to the bump person for counting and measuring, the bump person will place fish back in weigh-in bag and angler will take to scales. After weighing fish angler will take fish to release boat.
  9. Draw Prizes – Each morning the Tournament director will call out the prizes and pre-drawn names of those winners for that day.  After weigh-in these winners may come to the stage trailer and collect their prizes.  This announcement will be made each morning of the event so pay attention; it will be your responsibility to collect your prize after weigh-in.

Onsite Check In (Mandatory): Wednesday, September 16th from 3:30 - 5:30 pm Gigniliat Center-, 621 N. Townville Street, Seneca, SC 29678.  No sit-down meal provided.

Lowery Wins $2200 in Georgia Event on Lake Sinclair

David Lowery of Milledgeville, GA won the Bass Pro Shops Open Series Georgia Division tournament, held September 12th on Lake Sinclair. Running out of Dennis Station Ramp in Eatonton, GA David caught five bass that locked in the scales at 13.73 pounds. For the Boater Division victory, Lowery took home a check for $2200 for his win.

The Team of John Hopkins and Tad Jenkins won the Bass Pro Shops Team Tour event held July 26th on Old Hickory.  Running out of Flippers in Gallatin, TN John and Tad brought back a 5-fish limit to the scales that weighed in at 16.96-lbs.  For the victory, they took home $3,600.
