Russ Haughton Wins on Lake Mitchell
November 23, 2019, Mobile, AL., Russ Haughton of Verbena, AL., won the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour (BPSFT) Division 24 - Alabama Central tournament presented by American Bass Anglers (ABA).
Running out of Higgins Ferry Park near Clanton, Haughton brought back five fish that locked in the scales at 12.71 lbs. For the victory he took home $478.00.
Second place was claimed by Randy Maharrey with five fish and a total weight of 12.65 lbs.
His catch was anchored by a 4.01 lb. kicker that was the Biggest Bass of the tournament. For his efforts he took home $268.00 with an additional $90.00 for Big Bass.
Raymond Youngblood took third with five and a total weight of 12.11 lbs. and took home $86.00 in prize money.

The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers (ABA) Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour (BPSFT) Angler of The Year (AOY) Final Round at the BPSFT National Championship.
In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, BPSFT National Championship tournament.
The Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler.
All anglers fish for both money and points. The points advance the angler to their divisional championship and the top 500 anglers in the U.S. are invited to the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour (BPSFT) National Championship.

2020 Championship Old Hickory Lake
July 22, 2020, Athens, AL. The Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour 2020 Championship online registration will begin on July 27, 2020, at 8 am. This year’s championship will be on Old Hickory Lake in Gallatin, Tennessee Launching out of Sanders Ferry Park in Hendersonville, October 21, 22, and 23 with Sumner County Tourism hosting.

North Carolina Heads to Norman
Athens, AL. The Bass Pro Shops Open Series North Carolina division will hold its fourth and final qualifier of the season on Lake Norman August 15. The event will launch out of Pinnacle located at NC Hwy 150 Mooresville NC 28117.
Hopkins and Jenkins Take Team Tour Win on Old Hickory
The Team of John Hopkins and Tad Jenkins won the Bass Pro Shops Team Tour event held July 26th on Old Hickory. Running out of Flippers in Gallatin, TN John and Tad brought back a 5-fish limit to the scales that weighed in at 16.96-lbs. For the victory, they took home $3,600.
