Starting an American Bass Anglers Division in your area

You can start your own Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour division on your local lake!. We are looking for quality leaders to run Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour. We provide everything you need to get started!

What is ABA looking for? 

1.    Leaders for the weekend bass angler
2.    Tournament Director that enforces all ABA guidelines and rules
3.    Trustworthy, and highly respected among your fellow anglers
4.    Organized, you must possess organization skills
5.    Light computer skills (all tournaments results are all submitted today via software, and spreadsheets)
6.    Promoter, capable of the local promotion of ABA tour events

What does ABA provide?

1.    Staff to assist you in every step of the process of being a director
2.    Web tools, Website, Divisional page promotion, Divisional Fliers, and Special Access
3.    Scales, weigh bags (Scales require a deposit)
4.    Tournament Director Tournament Jersey
5.    Financial Incentives, you won’t make a fortune, but it helps pay for your favorite pastime!

Steve Lindsey Wins on Tensaw River

November 19, 2022, Mobile, AL:  Steve Lindsey of Grand Bay, Alabama won the American Fishing Tour Division 41 tournament presented on November 19, 2022 by American Bass Anglers.  Running out of Cliff’s Landing Boat Launch near Bay Minette, AL, Lindsey brought back five with a total weight of 12.21 pounds. His catch was anchored by a 4.00 pound kicker.  For the victory Lindsey took home $478 and another $85 for Big Bass.

Ben & Ashley Sutton Take the win on Lake Russell

November 12, 2022, Elberton, Georgia.  Ben & Ashley Sutton of Warrenville, SC won the 2nd American Couples Series South Carolina Division tournament of the 2023 season presented by American Bass Anglers.  Running out of Richard B. Russell State Park near Elberton, GA.  Ben & Ashley brought back 5 bass that locked in the scales at 13.10 pounds anchored by a 3.01-pound kicker.  For the victory, Ben & Ashley took home a check for $878.

November 7, Athens, AL. Registration will open on November 14, 2022, for the 2023 Open Series. The 2023 season will offer 16 divisions, Alabama North, Alabama South, Florida Central, Florida South, Georgia, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee Central, Tennessee East, Texas East, Texas Southeast, and Virginia. Each of these divisions will offer four one-day Divisional qualifying events and one two-day Divisional Championship.
