2020 Military Team Tournament Rescheduled to July 8 – 10,2020
ATHENS, Ala. – American Bass Anglers announced today the rescheduling of the 2020 Bass Pro Shops Military Team Event to July 5-10, 2020, on Wheeler Lake in Decatur, AL. The event will have three days of Practice and three days of competition. Official Practice will begin Sunday, July 5, and continue Monday, July 6 and conclude on Wednesday, July 7. The competition days will be Wednesday, July 8, Thursday, July 9, and will conclude on Friday, July 10.This 2020 special event is hosted by Decatur Morgan County Tourism on Lake Wheeler. The event will be operated out of Ingalls Harbor and Ingalls Harbor Pavilion, located at 802-A Wilson Street NW, Decatur, AL 35601.
Since this event has no off-limits, anglers can take your time as there is a lot to see and do in Decatur, AL, especially on the 4th of July weekend. The Spirit of America Festivals is held at Point Mallard in Decatur, AL, with one of the south’s largest and most spectacular fireworks shows 4th of July evening.
Also, just up the road is the US Space and Rocket Center and Tranquility Base. It is a fantastic learning center and space museum. They also schedule a firework shows 4th of July evening.
Cabelas and its Tracker Marine center is located about 15 minutes away and is the perfect place to take the family and stock on the latest hot lures and marine supplies.
Decatur, Alabama, has earned a reputation for providing winning facilities, personnel, and service! Opening in 2018, the new state-of-the-art Cook Museum of Natural Science will offer a 63,000 square foot interactive museum exploring the theme of “Life is Amazing.” The Wheeler Wildlife Refuge is also a wonderful way to explore nature during your stay.

ENTRY FEE: Entry fee is $150 per team if registering prior to the entry deadline. After the entry deadline, July 1, 2020, a $25 late fee will be assessed.
BIG BASS POT: A big bass option pot will be available for teams to sign up for during on-site registration ONLY.
