Alabama South and Mississippi head to Logan Martin for Area 3 Championship
The Bass Pro Shops Open Series Alabama South Division and Mississippi Division will hold their final event of the 2019 season on September 14th-15th, 2019 on Logan Martin in Pell City, Alabama.
The competitors will launch at Lakeside Park, located at 2801 Stemley Bridge Road, Pell City, AL 35128. Anglers may begin fishing at 6:15 a.m. or safe light both days. The weigh-in will begin at 2:30 p.m each day. Registration begins Friday, September 13, 2019, at 4 p.m. local time at the ABA Stage Trailer Inside Lakeside Park and registration will end at 6:30 p.m. with the tournament briefing to begin at 7:00 p.m. All anglers will compete both days of the event. All anglers are required to have an Alabama fishing license.
Anglers fishing the Boater division may weigh in up to 5 bass each day at least 12 inches in length for largemouth bass and spotted bass. Co-anglers may weigh in up to 3 bass each day at least 12 inches in length for largemouth and spotted bass.
To qualify Anglers must have fished a total of three events within one (1) division or a combination of four events within the two divisions (AL South & Mississippi). To enter anglers fishing the Boater division pay $310.00 and Co-anglers pay $155.00.
Also, the top 10 boaters and the top 10 co-anglers in points from each division after the two-day is completed as well as the top 5 boaters and top 5 co-anglers by place of finish at the two-day event will qualify for the Ray Scott Championship on Lake Hartwell in April 2020.
In addition to cash and prizes for top finishes, boaters and co-anglers fishing this tournament and ABA Open Series events throughout the season may also win contingency bonuses from such sponsors as Triton Boats, Mercury Outboards, Motorguide, T-H Marine, Abu Garcia, and Maui Jim.
