Bass Pro Shops 150 Series Kicks Off in Louisiana

ATHENS, Ala. – The Bass Pro Shops 150 Series presented by Tracker Boats will hold the first-ever tournament Saturday 20, 2019 on the Red River in Bossier, LA.

This team format and is limited to 150 horsepower or less. All boats must meet US Coast Guard standards and equip with additional items such as kill switches as documents in the rules of this event. 

Teams fishing pay $200 entry fee with an option big bass pot of $10. The payout for the events will be based on the total number of entries. The winning team of this event will take home a Bass Pro Shops Tracker Pro Team 175 XTE with a 75 Mercury Marine four-stroke outboard. 

Teams that place in the top 20 in this event will be invited to a two-day championship this fall on Table Rock Lake. The championship-winning team will be awarded two Tracker Pro TeamTM 195 XTE with Mercury Marine 150 four-stroke outboards.  

Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission and Bass Pro Shop in Bossier City, LA are the hosts for this event. Teams may register at Bass Pro Shop this (4/19) Friday from 3pm to 6:30pm. A safety meeting will follow at 7pm.

The tournament will launch out of Red River South Saturday morning at safe daylight with weigh in at 3pm local time.

Don Sprinkle of Lexington, NC won the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour Divison 14 tournament presented by American Bass Anglers.  Running out of Southmont ramp near Lexington, NC.   Don Sprinkle brought back five fish that locked in the scales at 13.82 pounds anchored by a 4.54-pound kicker.  For the victory, Don Sprinkle took home a check for $432.00.

Treye and Carol Ward win on Kentucky Lake 

The ABA Bass Pro Shops Couples Series Kentucky Lake Division experienced a very successful weekend.  We had 14 teams participate.  The weather was very wet and windy but the lake was cooperative and relatively smooth all day considering the conditions.  All 14 teams weighed fish at the end of the day.  48 fish were caught weighing over 153 pounds.  All fish were released alive and well.  We paid out a total of $1,190.

McMillan Wins $2400 on Lake Okeechobee

ATHENS, Ala. – Dillon McMillan of Belle Glade, FL won the Bass Pro Shops Open Series Florida South tournament, held May 18th on the Lake Okeechobee. Running out of Scott Driver Park in Okeechobee, FL Dillon caught five bass weighing 23.03 pounds. For the Boater Division victory, McMillan took home a check for $2400 for his win.

Davis and Butler win a new Triton boat on Lake Guntersville

Sunday, May 5th, 2019 the ABA Triton 100% Plus Team Tour held its second tournament of the regular season that launched from Goosepond Bait and Tackle on Lake Guntersville located in Scottsboro, AL. Eighty-three teams went head to head, on a sunny but windy day, to try and win the 2019 Triton 17TX powered by a 60HP Mercury four-stroke with Garmin Echo-map plus 93SV valued at 20K. With a massive six-and-a-half-pound lead over 2nd place, Seth Davis and Brent Butler took the victory weighing in 5 fish for a whopping weight of 29.69 pounds.
