North Carolina Heads to Lake Norman for Season Opener
ATHENS, Ala. – The North Carolina Division of the Bass Pro Shops Open Series presented by American Bass Anglers will hold the season opener on February 2, 2019 on Lake Norman in Mooresville, North Carolina.
The competitors will launch from Pinnacle Access on NC 150 in Mooresville, North Carolina. Anglers will begin fishing at 7:00 am or safe light on Saturday February 2nd 2019. The weigh-in will begin at 3:00 pm. Registration begins at 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Friday 2/01/2019 local time at the ABA stage trailer at the Pinnacle Access area, with the pairings meeting to follow at 7:00 p.m. To register for this tournament, visit us online at www.americanbassanglers.com or call 256-232-0406.
To enter, anglers fishing the boater division pays $210.00 with co-anglers paying $105.00 per event. The payout for all events will be based on the number of entries. For one day divisional events $5000.00 will be paid to the winning boater based on a minimum of 60 boats. As the field increases the payout also increases. For each 2-day area championship $10,000.00 will be paid to the winning boater based on a minimum of 100 boats and $5000.00 paid to the winning co-angler based on 100 boats.
In addition to cash and prizes for top finishers, boater and co-angler competitors fishing this tournament and Bass Pro Shops Open Series events throughout the season may also win contingency bonuses from such sponsors as Triton Boats, Mercury Outboards, MotorGuide, T-H Marine, Nitro Boats, Tracker Marine, Berkley and Power Pole. Limit: 5bass for the boaters/ 3 bass for the co-anglers
Size limit: You may have two bass between 12-14 inches in length. The remainder of your creel must be at least 14 inches in length.
Take off: 7:00 am. or safe light
Weigh in 3:00 pm
Time zone: Eastern
All anglers must have a valid North Carolina fishing license in your possession. All boaters must have a minimum of $100,000.00 liability insurance in your possession for the boat you are operating.

Emery Takes the Win on Eucha Lake
Angler Rob Emery of Coweta, OK, dominated the field in ABA Division 65’s tournament held Saturday, June 22, 2019, with a nice bag weighing 19.80 lbs. He also had a nice kicker fish weighing 7.40 lbs. to garner “big bass” honors for the day receiving over $325 in cash prizes for his effort.
Kentucky Lake Division July 14, 2019
The ABA Couples Tour, Kentucky Lake Division completed their 6th tournament of 2019 this Sunday. The weather was nearly perfect with cooler temperatures, overcast skies and a slight breeze all day. The fish however, were not in a perfect mood. Sixteen teams participated today out of the Paris Landing ramp. It was a tough bite all day. A total of 20 bass were brought to the scales for a combined weight of 59.2 pounds. We paid out a total of $1,350.
Double Header At Greer's Ferry
ATHENS, Ala. – The Arkansas Division of the 2019 Bass Pro Shops Open Series presented by American Bass Anglers will fish a doubleheader this weekend at Greer’s Ferry. High water caused an earlier seasonal event to be postponed so anglers can compete in two tournaments this weekend. One tournament will be held on Saturday July 27 and the second on Sunday July 28, 2019.
Davis and Butler win a new Triton boat on Lake Guntersville
Sunday, May 5th, 2019 the ABA Triton 100% Plus Team Tour held its second tournament of the regular season that launched from Goosepond Bait and Tackle on Lake Guntersville located in Scottsboro, AL. Eighty-three teams went head to head, on a sunny but windy day, to try and win the 2019 Triton 17TX powered by a 60HP Mercury four-stroke with Garmin Echo-map plus 93SV valued at 20K. With a massive six-and-a-half-pound lead over 2nd place, Seth Davis and Brent Butler took the victory weighing in 5 fish for a whopping weight of 29.69 pounds.
