South Carolina Season Opener on Santee Cooper
ATHENS, AL. – The South Carolina Division of the Bass Pro Shops Open Series presented by American Bass Anglers will hold the season opener on January 26, 2019, on Santee Cooper in Summerton, South Carolina.
The competitors will launch from John C. Land III Boating and Sports Facility located on Log Jam road in Summerton, South Carolina. Anglers will begin fishing at 7:00 a.m. or safe light on Saturday, January 26, 2019. The weigh-in will begin at 3:00 pm. Registration is from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2019, local time at the ABA stage trailer at John C. Land III Boating and Sports Facility. To enter, anglers fishing the boater division pays $210.00 with co-anglers paying $105.00 per event. The payout for all events will be based on the number of entries. For one day divisional events, $5,000.00 will be paid to the winning boater based on a minimum of 60 boats. As the field increases the payout also increases. For each 2-day area championship, $10,000.00 will be paid to the winning boater based on a minimum of 100 boats and $5,000.00 paid to the winning co-angler based on 100 boats.
In addition to cash and prizes for top finishers, boater and co-angler competitors fishing this tournament and Bass Pro Shops Open Series events throughout the season may also win contingency bonuses from such sponsors as Triton Boats, Mercury Outboards, MotorGuide, T-H Marine, Nitro Boats, Tracker Marine, Berkley and Power Pole. All anglers must have a valid South Carolina fishing license in your possession. All boaters must have a minimum of $100,000.00 liability insurance in your possession for the boat you are operating.

LES CHARLES WINS D72 on SINCLAIR
Les Charles of Milledgeville, GA took home the first place trophy and $813 cash for his 5 bass limit totaling 15.92 pounds at the D72 Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tournament held on November 27, 2021 at Lake Sinclair. Les said he caught his fish flipping docks with a homemade jig.
Tom and Missy take the win and the GLine Battery $100 Bounty on Cooper River
We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day on the Cooper River with mild temperatures and sunny skies! We had eight teams come out to compete with every team bringing fish to the scales. Several teams commented on how clear the water was and how many big bass they watched swimming but couldn’t get to bite. It seems that the most productive bite was on crank baits and worms.
Tom and Missy Bancroft took First Place with 5 largemouth bass weighing 8.15 lbs. earning $360. We caught our bass on crankbaits in the morning and shaky head worms in the afternoon.
2022 Open Series Registration Now Open
Registration is now open for the 2022 Open Series. The 2022 season offers 16 divisions, Alabama North, Alabama South, Florida Central, Florida South, Georgia, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee Central, Tennessee East, Texas East, and Texas Southeast, and Virginia.

Team Tour Championship Postponed
Out of an overabundance of caution The Team Tour Championship that was scheduled for 10/10-11/2020 on Wheeler Lake has be postponed. The National Weather Service is forecasting winds of 10-20 mph with gust up to 35mph for Saturday, and winds of 10-15 mph with gust up to 20 mph Sunday. The safety of our anglers is the number on concern and factor when making the tough decisions on postponing a tournament. The new dates for the Team Tour Championship will be November 21-22 on Wheeler Lak
