Johnny Dunlap Wins on Allatoona
The American Bass Angler’s D125’s newest member Johnny Dunlap of Acworth, GA takes first place at the American Fishing Tour Division 125 Georgia North Tournament held at Lake Allatoona on November 17. Running out of Galts Ferry near Acworth, GA, Johnny brought back 5-fish that locked in the scales at 8.11-lbs. anchored by a 3.08-lb. kicker. For the victory, Johnny took home a check for $620.
“I just threw a crank-bait and worms” Johnny stated in his post-tournament interview.
Second place was claimed by Mike Cronin with 5-fish and a total weight of 7.92-lbs. For his efforts, Mike took home $375 in prize money.
JohnKisella took third place with 5-fish and a total weight of 7.85-lbs. and took home $130 in prize money.
The fourth-place money winner was Nick Tunney with a five-fish limit weighing in at 7.44-lbs. Nick took home $101.
The Biggest Bass of the tournament was caught by David Huie. His spotted bass topped the scales at 3.21-lbs. earning him $125.
The next tournament in this division will take place on December 1, 2018 launching from Galts Ferry Ramp on Lake Allatoona.

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
The American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All anglers fish for money and points. The points advance the angler to their divisional championship and the top 500 anglers in the US are invited to the American Fishing Tour National Championship.

Ben & Ashley Sutton Take the Win on Clark’s Hill
The first event of the 2022 South Carolina ABA Couples season was held on Clark’s Hill out of Hickory Knobb State Park. It was a beautiful day to be on the water. Ben & Ashley Sutton came out on top of the field of 22 teams with 5 bass weighing 13.01 lbs. Ben & Ashley were awarded $825 for their first-place finish.
2022 Open Series Registration Now Open
Registration is now open for the 2022 Open Series. The 2022 season offers 16 divisions, Alabama North, Alabama South, Florida Central, Florida South, Georgia, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee Central, Tennessee East, Texas East, and Texas Southeast, and Virginia.

Team Tour Championship Postponed
Out of an overabundance of caution The Team Tour Championship that was scheduled for 10/10-11/2020 on Wheeler Lake has be postponed. The National Weather Service is forecasting winds of 10-20 mph with gust up to 35mph for Saturday, and winds of 10-15 mph with gust up to 20 mph Sunday. The safety of our anglers is the number on concern and factor when making the tough decisions on postponing a tournament. The new dates for the Team Tour Championship will be November 21-22 on Wheeler Lak
