Trey Nanney Wins on the Roanoke River
Trey Nanney, of Wilson, NC won the AFT Division 17, North Carolina Central tournament on the Roanoke River. The event was held on the Roanoke on 3 November 2018, launching out of the Water Street Ramp in Plymouth, North Carolina. Trey caught 5 bass weighing 19.38-lbs. Trey said he fished a creek down river and caught his fish on spinnerbaits. Trey also had big fish of the tournament with a 5.08-lb kicker.

These anglers accrued valuable points toward the Divisional Angler of the Year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.

Sean Capes wins on West Point Lake
Sean Capes bested a field of twenty-two Anglers to win the Bass Pro Shop AFT Division 99 One Day Qualifier on 3 February 2019 out of Highland Resort. Sean won with a 13.51 lbs. bag followed by Glenn Goodson with 11.06 lbs. Mike York took third place with 10.72 lbs. and Kenny Carroll, who won the Eufaula Open the previous day, came in fourth with a weight of 10.49 lbs. The big bass for the tournament was caught by Mike York and weighed 4.62 lbs. The next tournament for D99 is scheduled for 16 March 2019. Highland Resort and Marina is being renovated and boat launch is by permit only ($5.00). Registration is conducted on the rear deck of the Marina Store. Launch fee will be paid at registration prior to launching your boat.
South Carolina Couples Cancels 12/8 Tournament
The South Carolina Couples Division 11 has canceled the 12/8 tournament scheduled for Lake Wateree. This decision has been made due to falling lake levels, the ramp and the launch site is inaccessible. South Carolina Heads to Lake Murray
ATHENS, Ala. – The South Carolina Division of the Bass Pro Shops Open Series presented by American Bass Anglers will hold its second event of the season on Lake Murray on February 23, 2019.
The competitors will launch from Dreher Island State Park located at 3677 State Park Road Prosperity South Carolina 29127. Anglers will begin fishing at 7:00 am or safe light on Saturday February 23rd with the weigh-in to start at 3:00 pm. Registration begins at 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Friday 2/22/2019 local time at the ABA stage trailer at Dreher Island State park, with the pairings meeting to follow at 7:00 p.m.
Mason and Walker win new Triton boat at Guntersville
Saturday, February 9, 2019 the Bass Pro Shops Team Tour operated by American Bass Anglers held its first tournament of the regular season that launched from Goosepond Bait and Tackle on Guntersville Lake located in Scottsboro, Alabama. Ninety-three teams went to battle in cold weather conditions to try and win the 2019 Triton 17TX powered by a 60HP Mercury four-stroke with Garmin Echo-map plus 63CV valued at 20K. With a 5-pound lead over 2nd place Jimmy Mason and Lance Walker took the victory weighing in 5 fish for a total weight of 33.82-pounds. The team also earned a check for $900 for taking 1st place in the High Stakes Option Pot.
