Justin Angel Takes Another Win On Stockton Lake

Stockton Lake was no match for Justin Angel September 29 when he fished American Bass Anglers Division 126 qualifying tournament and weighed in 19.44 lbs. His winning bag was anchored with Big Bass of the tournament, a 7.28-lb largemouth. He took home $1005 for his win.

Second place went to Scott Lawson with 16.80-lbs also anchored with a big bass weighing 6.64-lbs. John Bennett was 3rd with 12.51-lbs and Byron Maze came in 4th with 11.83-lbs. Topping off the top five was Jay Carter with 10.87-lbs.

Thirty-one anglers fished the tournament, one of them being new member, 14-year-old Baylor Logan. This was his first tournament experience and he weighed in four fish for 7.36-lbs. Welcome, Baylor to the great sport of tournament fishing.

This was one in a series of tournaments all to be held on Stockton Lake. Many of the prizes are donated by local sponsor including Ken’s Kafe, Pete’s Short Stop and Albers Marine.

The next D126 tournament is scheduled for November 3, 2018. A full 2019 schedule can be seen at www.centralmidwestbass.com along with the full results of the September 8 tournament with pictures of many of the anglers.
