Virginia/Maryland Division Area Championship (Rescheduled For November 3-4 2018)
ATHENS, Ala. – Due to the hurricane that has and is producing heavy rain, the NC Park Ranger at Nutbush has closed the ramp and the Corp of Engineers has predicted lake levels above 312ft. The Virginia/Maryland area championship has been rescheduled for November 3-4 2018.
The competitors will launch from Nutbush Park located at Jack Wade Farm Road Henderson NC. 27537.
Registration begins at 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.Friday, November 2nd 2018 with the pairings meeting to follow at 7:00 pm.
To enter, anglers fishing the Boater Division pay $300.00 and the co-anglers pay $150.00 The winning boater is guaranteed a minimum of $10,000.00 and the winning co-angler is guaranteed a minimum of $5000.00.
In addition to cash and prizes for top finishers, boater and co-angler competitors fishing this tournament and ABA Open Series events throughout the season may also win contingency bonuses from such sponsors as Triton Boats, Mercury Outboards, MotorGuide, T-H Marine, ABU Garcia and Maui Jim. Registration: Friday 11/2/2018 from 4:00 p.m.- 6:30 p.m.
Pairings meeting 7:00 p.m.
Limit: 5bass for the boaters/ 3 bass for the co-anglers
Size limit: 2bass between 12-14 inches in length, remainder 14 inches or greater in length.
Take off: Day 1 7:00 am or safe light until 3:00 pm.
Take off: Day 2 6:00 am or safe light until 2:00 pm.
All anglers must have a valid North Carolina or Virginia fishing license in your possession.

Rickie Bonner Takes the Win on the Tensaw River
December 8, 2018, Mobile, AL. Rickie Bonner of Mobile, Alabama won the American Fishing Tour Division 41 tournament presented by American Bass Anglers. Running out of Live Oak Landing near Stockton, Alabama Bonner brought back five-fish that locked in the scales at 11.76-lbs anchored by a 3.23-pound kicker. For the victory, Bonner took home a check for $376.

The South Carolina Couples Division 11 has canceled the 12/8 tournament scheduled for Lake Wateree. This decision has been made due to falling lake levels, the ramp and the launch site is inaccessible.
