Doug Shrum Wins the ABA District 42 Tournament on the Arkansas River
The third D42 tournament of the 2018 season was contested on the Arkansas River/Pine Bluff Pool launching out of Regional Park. 14 anglers came out and were greeted with high humidity and heat indexes in excess of 100 degrees making fishing conditions tough. A breeze started up mid-morning making the day almost bearable.
Doug Shrum topped the field with a 5-fish limit totaling 9.94 lbs. Doug threw a jig all day to catch his fish.
Trey Grubbs sacked up five fish for a total weight of 9.38 lbs. Trey threw topwater and crankbaits to catch his fish.
Mark Matthews rounded out the top three was who sacked up three fish for a total weight of 8.64 lbs. Mark caught his fish on topwater and jigs.
Todd Grubbs threw a whopper plopper in the morning and hauled in the days big bass at 4.82 lbs.

These anglers accrued valuable points toward the Divisional Angler of the Year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
The American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All ABA anglers fish for money and points. The points advance the angler to their divisional championship and the top 500 anglers in the US are invited to the American Fishing Tour National Championship for this fall on Lake Hartwell near Anderson SC.

Rickie Bonner Takes the Win on the Tensaw River
December 8, 2018, Mobile, AL. Rickie Bonner of Mobile, Alabama won the American Fishing Tour Division 41 tournament presented by American Bass Anglers. Running out of Live Oak Landing near Stockton, Alabama Bonner brought back five-fish that locked in the scales at 11.76-lbs anchored by a 3.23-pound kicker. For the victory, Bonner took home a check for $376.

This decision has been made due to falling lake levels, the ramp and the launch site is inaccessible. Galbraith and Mason win the Triton 100% Plus Team Tour Championship
The team of Roy Galbraith of Guin, Alabama and Richard Mason of Athens, Alabama took home the win in the American Bass Anglers Triton Plus 100% Team Tour Championship, held on Pickwick Lake November 3rd and 4th, 2018. Launching out of McFarland Park in Florence, Alabama, the team of Galbraith and Mason caught a five-bass limit on day one weighing 17.28-pounds
