Brantley Overcomes Heat for Win on Grand Lake
Division 65 American Bass Anglers’ fifth tournament out of Tera Miranda occurred on Saturday, June 2, 2018, with another unusually hot, steamy day for spring fishing in Oklahoma. Crawford Brantley of Grove, OK, took first place honors and the cash prize with an impressive five fish limit and a total weight of 16.22 lbs.
Newcomer Dirk Woods of Miami, OK, received second place honors with a five fish limit and a total weight of 13.22 lbs. Woods also received “Big Bass” honors with nice bass weighing 6.26 lbs.
The two-day classic is scheduled for Saturday, June 23 and 24, 2018, on Grand Lake at the Tera Miranda Ramp located on Monkey Island. The 2018 “Angler of the Year” for District 65 will be announced along with trophy and cash prize awards at the culmination of the two-day classic. Any ABA angler in good-standing may fish for cash prizes, but only those anglers who have fished at least 4 tournaments may compete for trophies and/or the “Angler of the Year” award.
These anglers are earning valuable points toward the divisional “angler of the year” title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual Ram American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of the Year Final Round at the American Fishing Tour National Championship.

These anglers accrued valuable points toward the Divisional Angler of the Year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
The American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All ABA anglers fish for money and points. The points advance the angler to their divisional championship and the top 500 anglers in the US are invited to the American Fishing Tour National Championship for this fall on Lake Hartwell near Anderson SC.

Rickie Bonner Takes the Win on the Tensaw River
December 8, 2018, Mobile, AL. Rickie Bonner of Mobile, Alabama won the American Fishing Tour Division 41 tournament presented by American Bass Anglers. Running out of Live Oak Landing near Stockton, Alabama Bonner brought back five-fish that locked in the scales at 11.76-lbs anchored by a 3.23-pound kicker. For the victory, Bonner took home a check for $376.

This decision has been made due to falling lake levels, the ramp and the launch site is inaccessible.
