William Wright Jr. wins at South Watuppa Pond
On a cold & blustery windy day, ABA Division 5 fished So. Watuppa Pond, Fall River, MA. When the anglers arrived for registration, air temps were in the low 30s w/water temps in the low 40s, w/a NW wind at 15-20 mph. Not a pleasant day, but the northeast angler is resilient and made adjustments. However, the bright sunny skies made conditions somewhat bearable.
At the weigh in, 18 fish were weighed in w/a combined weight of 34.39 lbs for an average weight per fish of 1.92 lbs. and all fish were released alive.
When it was all said & done, William Wright Jr. was declared the winner w/13.65 lbs & his limit was anchored w/the big bass of the day at 3.38 lbs. Bill had his limit in the boat in the first 30 minutes of the tournament and culled all day. He fished an orange/crayfish colored Bandit crank bait and a 1/4 oz. brown/brown jig in 8 feet of water.

2nd place: Billy Roe - 5 fish - 7.95 lbs.
3rd place: Dan Rose - 5 fish - 6.88 lbs.
Our next tournament will be at Wequaquet Lake, Centerville, MA on Sunday, April 22, 2018 and don't forget the lake is off limits on Thursday, Friday and Saturday preceding the scheduled tournament date.

May 5th, 2019. Twenty anglers launched from the Dorn Facility near McCormick, SC on Clarks Hill Lake to compete in the Two-Day Championship for AFT D25.

Tallent Takes The Win on Cherokee Lake
ATHENS, Ala. – Joseph Tallent of Knoxville TN won the Bass Pro Shops Open Series event held on Cherokee Lake on 5/11/19. Running out of the Hamblen County public dock Tallent weighed in a five bass limit weighing 15.14 pounds. His limit was anchored by a bass weighing 4.73 pounds. He took home a check for $1400.00 for the win.
Davis and Butler win a new Triton boat on Lake Guntersville
Sunday, May 5th, 2019 the ABA Triton 100% Plus Team Tour held its second tournament of the regular season that launched from Goosepond Bait and Tackle on Lake Guntersville located in Scottsboro, AL. Eighty-three teams went head to head, on a sunny but windy day, to try and win the 2019 Triton 17TX powered by a 60HP Mercury four-stroke with Garmin Echo-map plus 93SV valued at 20K. With a massive six-and-a-half-pound lead over 2nd place, Seth Davis and Brent Butler took the victory weighing in 5 fish for a whopping weight of 29.69 pounds.
