Welcome new ABA Open Series Director Daniel Sylvester
ATHENS, AL – American Bass Anglers is pleased to welcome the newest ABA Open Series Tournament Director to the team, Daniel Sylvester of Athens, AL. Daniel will assume Tournament Manager for the Alabama North, Kentucky, and Central Tennesse divisions, along with the 100% Plus Team Tour divisions. Daniel has a passion for fishing and has been on the other side of the microphone, fishing with the ABA and several other tournament trails. He has a lot to bring to the table, and we are excited to add him to the team.
We reached out to Daniel for a quick interview and here is what he had to say.
“I look forward to working with the ABA, they're a great organization, and I'm glad to have the chance to be a part of it. My goal is to build strong divisions filled with great competition, good times, and people that love fishing. I know these anglers spend a good bit of time and money to compete in tournaments, and I plan on giving them the best experience possible,” said Daniel.

Wesley Sandifer wins on Lake Hartwell
December 16th, 2018 Anderson, SC. Twenty-four anglers launched from the Green Pond Landing near Anderson, SC. The temps started out at 43 degrees and warmed up into the low 60’s by the 3 pm weigh in time. Water temps were in the mid 50’s due to several cold rains before the tournament. Twelve of the twenty-four anglers caught a five-fish limit, but when the scales closed it was Wesley Sandifer of Chapin, SC who took the victory with 12.72lbs. For the win, Wesley took home $600 in prize money. Wesley reported catching his fish on a jig.
South Carolina Couples Cancels 12/8 Tournament
The South Carolina Couples Division 11 has canceled the 12/8 tournament scheduled for Lake Wateree. This decision has been made due to falling lake levels, the ramp and the launch site is inaccessible. Galbraith and Mason win the Triton 100% Plus Team Tour Championship
