Virginia Division Heads to Lake Gaston
ATHENS, Ala. – The Virginia Division of the Open Series will hold its next event April 14th 2018 on Lake Gaston.
The competitors will launch from Holly Grove Marina located at 8826 Highway 903 Bracey Virginia 23919. Anglers will begin fishing at 7:00 AM or safe light until 3:00 PM.
Registration will be at the ABA stage trailer on Friday 4-13-2018 at Holly Grove Marina 8826 Hwy 903 Bracey Virginia 23919. Registration will run from 4:00 PM-6:30 PM with the pairings meeting to follow At 7:00 PM. Anglers holding a Freedom pass must text or call 256-497-0967 Friday 4-13-2018 between 4:00PM- 6:30 PM to confirm you are fishing the event.
To enter anglers fishing the boater division pay $200.00 per single day events with the co-anglers paying $100.00 for the single day events. The first place boater is guaranteed a minimum of $5000.00.
Anglers fishing the boater division may weigh in up to five bass and the co-anglers may weigh in up to three bass.
In addition to cash and prizes for top finishers, boater and co-angler competitors may also win contingency bonuses from such sponsors as Triton Boats, Mercury Outboards, Motorguide, T-H Marine and ABU Garcia. See the manufacturer Websites for specific details on how to qualify for these bonuses.
Limit: 5bass for the boaters, 3 bass for the co-anglers
Size limit: You may have two bass between 12-14 inches. The remainder of your catch must be 14 inches or greater.
Off Limits for this event: anything marked or posted off limits, keep out, etc. and the launch ramps at Holly Grove Marina.
All competitors are required to have either a valid North Carolina or Virginia fishing license in their possession.
Take off: 7:00 AM or safe light
Weigh in 3:00 PM

North Georgia Couples Hit Eufaula for a Double Header
North Georgia Couples Division 5 held two one-day tournaments on Saturday and Sunday, February 15-16, 2020. Changing weather and rising and falling muddy water were some of the conditions anglers had to deal with on Lake Eufaula. Saturday brought very low temperatures and sunny conditions for anglers. Fishing was tough for most of the nine couples, but a few teams overcame the conditions and caught some nice bags.

John Rice and Paul Arnold Take Home Two New Tritons at Chickamauga
John Rice of Huntsville, Al and Paul Arnold of Woodville, Al. won the Bass Pro Shops Team Tour Championship, held October 5th and 6th on Lake Chickamauga. Launching out of Dayton Boat Dock and Grill. John and Paul went straight to work and caught a two-day limit of 10 bass weighing 36.51 pounds. For their victory, the team took home 2 Triton TX-17 boats equipped with 60 HP Mercury outboards and Garmin electronics valued at $40,000.
