Round 2 For East TX Division 11
ATHENS, Ala. – The East Texas division of the American Bass Anglers Open Series will hold its second event of the 2018 season on March 24thth just outside of Tyler,TX. The weather has been beautiful, and things could be setting up for a dynamite day on the water.
The competitors will launch at The Villages Marina located at 18270 Singingwood Lane, Flint, TX. Anglers will begin fishing at safe light with the weigh-in starting at 3 P.M. Onsite registration and check in will be from 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM Friday March 23rd at The Villages.
To enter, anglers fishing the Boater Division pay $200 with co-anglers paying $100. First place is a guaranteed minimum of $5,000.00 for boaters. To learn more about the payout, visit www.abaopenseries.com/payout.php
Anglers fishing the Boater Division may weigh in up to five bass, each at least 14 inches long. Co-anglers may weigh in up to three bass. Mississippi fishing license required.

The best Open Series anglers from across the nation can advance to the no entry fee 2019 Ray Scott Championship, slated for Lake Eufaula, AL in April of 2019.

2020 Championship Old Hickory Lake
July 22, 2020, Athens, AL. The Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour 2020 Championship online registration will begin on July 27, 2020, at 8 am. This year’s championship will be on Old Hickory Lake in Gallatin, Tennessee Launching out of Sanders Ferry Park in Hendersonville, October 21, 22, and 23 with Sumner County Tourism hosting.

North Carolina Heads to Norman
Athens, AL. The Bass Pro Shops Open Series North Carolina division will hold its fourth and final qualifier of the season on Lake Norman August 15. The event will launch out of Pinnacle located at NC Hwy 150 Mooresville NC 28117.
Hopkins and Jenkins Take Team Tour Win on Old Hickory
The Team of John Hopkins and Tad Jenkins won the Bass Pro Shops Team Tour event held July 26th on Old Hickory. Running out of Flippers in Gallatin, TN John and Tad brought back a 5-fish limit to the scales that weighed in at 16.96-lbs. For the victory, they took home $3,600.
