North Carolina Opens On Lake Norman
ATHENS, Ala. – The North Carolina Division of the Open Series will hold its
Season opener on Lake Norman 2/10/2018.
Jason Wilson of Lincolnton, NC won the season opener last year ( 02/11/2017) with a five-fish limit that locked in the scales at 15.52 pounds with a 4.21 pound kicker. Jason took home the guaranteed $5000 check for the boater division victory. Kevin Jones of Sanford, NC took the victory in the co-angler division. He brought back a three-fish limit to the scales that locked in at 8.18 pounds. Kevin took home $1700 for his victory.
The competitors will launch from The Pinnacle Launch ramps located on NC Hwy
150 Mooresville, NC. Anglers will begin fishing at 7:00 am or safe light until 3:00
Registration will be at the ABA stage trailer located at the Pinnacle launch ramps.
Registration will run from 4:00 pm- 6:30pm with the pairings meeting to follow at
7:00 pm. Freedom pass Holders must call or text 256-497-0967 Friday 2-9-18
Between 4:00-6:30 pm to confirm you are fishing the event.

To enter anglers fishing the boater division pay $200.00 per single day events
with the co-anglers paying $100.00 for the single day events. The first place
boater is guaranteed a minimum of $5000.00.
Anglers fishing the boater division may weigh in up to five bass and the
co-anglers may weigh in up to three bass.
In addition to cash and prizes for top finishers, boater and co-angler competitors
may also win contingency bonuses from such sponsors as Triton Boats, Mercury Outboards, Motorguide, T-H Marine and ABU Garcia. See the manufacturer Websites for specific details on how to qualify for these bonuses.
Limit: 5 bass for the boaters, 3 bass for the co-anglers
Size limit: two bass may be between 12-14 inches with the remainder of your
Catch being at least 14 inches in length.
Off Limits for this event: anything marked or posted off limits, keep out, etc. The
Skimmer wall at the 150 bridge and the launch ramps at Pinnacle landing.
This will be a trailered weigh-in.
All anglers are required to have a valid North Carolina fishing license.

January 18, 2020, Okeechobee, FL. Kail Stevens from Boynton Beach, FL wins the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour Division 104 tournament held on the Okeechobee Saturday, January 18, 2020.
Mike Blalock & Deanna Phillips win on Lake Russell
Mike & Deanna are making a strong run for the points this year with their second first place finish. They were just one of the 29 teams that braved the cold and wind of December to compete on Lake Russell. The following round out the top 5 teams who earned a placement check along with Men’s Big Fish, Ladies Big Fish and Berkeley’s Smallest 5 Five Fish Limit:

David Beason of Evans, LA won the Bass Pro Shops Open Series South Texas tournament, held January 18th on Sam Rayburn Reservoir. Running out of Cassel’s Boykin Park, David caught five-bass weighing 29.90 lbs. With 74 anglers in the field, David took home a check for $5200.00
Raining for almost the entire week, the lake level was on the rise, but the weather was warm. Spotty showers on Saturday morning for take-off with an approaching cold front set the tone for a potentially good day.
John Rice and Paul Arnold Take Home Two New Tritons at Chickamauga
John Rice of Huntsville, Al and Paul Arnold of Woodville, Al. won the Bass Pro Shops Team Tour Championship, held October 5th and 6th on Lake Chickamauga. Launching out of Dayton Boat Dock and Grill. John and Paul went straight to work and caught a two-day limit of 10 bass weighing 36.51 pounds. For their victory, the team took home 2 Triton TX-17 boats equipped with 60 HP Mercury outboards and Garmin electronics valued at $40,000.
