Robert Barker wins D72 on Oconee
Robert Barker of Monticello, Ga was the only angler to bring a 5 fish limit to the scale at Lake Oconee on January 13, 2018 for D72. Robert caught his fish totaling 12.72 pounds on crank baits, and won $539 for 1st place.
Butch Pitts of Watkinsville, Ga caught 4 keepers using a spinner bait and had one that weighed 4.30 pounds. His total weight of 11.29 put him in 2nd place for winnings of $317.
Congratulations also goes to Stacey Adams Jr of Hazlehurst, Ga. He placed 3rd with a total sack of 10.99 pounds for $101.
Fourth place was taken by Randall Woodham of Social Circle, Ga. His 4 fish weighed 9.85 pounds and put $72 in his pocket.
Jimmy Little of Macon, Ga caught the Big Fish of the tournament on a jig. It weighed 4.94 pounds, and $110 was the cash payout.
There were 21 anglers that braved the cold and windy conditions with a major cold front that moved in early Saturday morning. The temperature was 27 degrees at blast off, and stayed in the thirties most of the day with gusty winds.
The next tournament will be January 27 on Lake Sinclair.

Steve Perkins Takes the win on Texoma
Steve Perkins of Velma, OK won the American Fishing Tour Division 112 Wichita Falls TX tournament presented by American Bass Anglers held November 10, on Lake Texoma. Running out of Soldier Creek near Kingston, Ok. Steve brought back 5-bass that locked in the scales at 15.68-lbs. anchored by a 4.74-lb smallmouth kicker. For the victory, Steve took home a check for $507.
