D66 Heads to Coffey County State Fishing Lake
Division 66 will hold the 2nd tournament of the 2018 season at Coffey County State Fishing Lake on Sunday 17 Dec 2017. Registration will start at 6:30 a.m. the morning meeting and draw will start at 7:15 a.m. The registration, morning meeting and draw will take place at the entrance gate to the boat launch area as the lake will not open until sunrise approximately 7:30 a.m. We will check-in and launch as soon as the last boat is in the water. Weigh-in time will be announced at the morning meeting. Entry Fee is $70, optional Big Bass pot is $10. American Bass Anglers membership $35. This will be a Bass Pass tournament. We will weigh-in 5 bass 15 inches or over. Boaters are required to supply a backseat for their non-boaters.

Due to special regulation pertaining to wind at Coffey County State Fishing Lake. If you want to fish the tournament scheduled for Dec 17th you will be required to contact the tournament director (Ed Watson 316-214-8968) prior to Friday, the 15th of Dec. I will need a phone number that I can send a text too. I will check the forecasted winds at 7:00 p.m. on weather.com for Burlington, KS on Saturday the 16th of Dec and will send a text by 7:15 Saturday night letting you know if we are fishing or not. If winds at Burlington, KS are forecasted for over 15 MPH prior to 1:00 p.m. on the Sunday hourly forecast the tournament will be cancelled. If forecasted winds are 15 MPH or under we will show up to fish.
You must wear your life vest 100% of the time you are on the water at Coffey County State Fishing Lake. The Coffey Co Sheriff patrols the lake throughout the day and if you are seen without your life vest on you will be ticketed. The fine is around $200. You will also be disqualified from the tournament.
If we should be called off the water for any reason it will be left up to the discretion of the tournament director whether to wait a reasonable time to see if we can get back on the water, weigh-in, or cancel and refund the entry fees.

November 23rd, 2019 Pryor, OK., John Caldwell won the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour (BPSFT) Division 57 tournament presented by American Bass Anglers (ABA).
Terry Durham and Ann Boatright win on Lay Lake
ATHENS, Ala. – Terry Durham and Ann Boatright won the Bass Pro Shops Couples Series, operated by American Bass Anglers, Central Alabama Division 1 tournament, held November 16, 2019, on Lay Lake. Running out of the LaCoosa Marina in Shelby, AL the team caught 5 bass weighing 12.15 pounds. For the victory, they earned a check for $450.00.
2020 Bass Pro Shop Open Series Kick Off Event
December 2, 2019, Athens, AL. The first Bass Pro Shop Open Series event is only 41 days away. The 2020 Kick off event will be on Lake Toho. The event will lauch out of Lakefront Park located in Kissimmee, FL on January 11, 2020.
At the 2019 kick off event Eric Panzironi of Longwood, FL weight a big sack of bass of 26.67 pounds to win $5,600 for first place. “I stayed on Toho all day. I found a big school of fish last weekend, and they stayed in the same area. I pulled up to that spot and was done by 9:30 am. Last week they were smaller, but the bigger fish moved up to that area. It feels great to start the season with a win,” Panzironi said.
John Rice and Paul Arnold Take Home Two New Tritons at Chickamauga
John Rice of Huntsville, Al and Paul Arnold of Woodville, Al. won the Bass Pro Shops Team Tour Championship, held October 5th and 6th on Lake Chickamauga. Launching out of Dayton Boat Dock and Grill. John and Paul went straight to work and caught a two-day limit of 10 bass weighing 36.51 pounds. For their victory, the team took home 2 Triton TX-17 boats equipped with 60 HP Mercury outboards and Garmin electronics valued at $40,000.
