Ray Neighbors Wins the ABA District 47 2018 season opener on Lake Hamilton
The first tournament of the ABA American Fishing Tour D47 2018 season was held on 4 Nov 2017 and contested on Lake Hamilton. 29 anglers came out on a dreary day in the hopes of filling their livewells with hungry Hamilton bass. A limit-fest as usual, 17 5-fish limits and a total of 99 bass for 159.84lbs were weighed.
Ray Neighbors topped the field with five fish for a total weight of 12.21 lbs. Ray threw a Rat-L-Trap & jig to catch his fish.
Brian Bean sacked up five fish for a total weight of 10.77 lbs. Brian relied on a Carolina Rig and caught some breaking fish to fill his livewell.
Blake Wilson rounded out the top three with a total weight of 10.52 lbs. Blake used a jig and caught some schooling fish to fill his limit. Blake also caught the big bass of the day at 3.26 lbs.

The ABA AFT National Championship for the 2018 season will be on Lake Hartwell in October 2018.

Miles Wins on Stockton Lake
Twenty American Bass Anglers met at Stockton Lake RB Cove Ramp Saturday June 15, 2019. A storm blew through bringing rain as well as some thunder and lightning. The storm did not last long enough to delay fishing time as anglers oozed off at about 6:00 a.m. following a safety briefing and partner draw. It continued to rain a short time, but most of the day was overcast. With the water level being 18’ high, most of the fishing was done in flooded trees, bushes and picnic tables.
Ken and Pam Draskovic win on Lake Guntersville
ATHENS, Ala. – Ken and Pam Draskovic won the Bass Pro Shops Couples Series, operated by American Bass Anglers, Central Alabama Division 1 tournament, held June 1, 2019, on Lake Guntersville. Running out of Waterfront in Scottsboro, AL the team caught 5 bass weighing 18.73 pounds. For the victory, they earned a check for $450.00. They caught their fish on top water baits over grass. Pam and Cheryl Howell tied for Woman’s Big Fish with 5.15 pounders.
Carter Wins $2400 in Georgia Event on Lake Oconee
ATHENS, Ala. – William “Kip” Carter won the Bass Pro Shops Open Series Georgia Division tournament, held June 15th on Lake Oconee. Running out of Sugar Creek Marina in Buckhead, GA the Mansfield, GA angler caught five bass weighing 19.88 pounds. For the Boater Division victory, Carter took home a check for $2400 for his win.
Davis and Butler win a new Triton boat on Lake Guntersville
Sunday, May 5th, 2019 the ABA Triton 100% Plus Team Tour held its second tournament of the regular season that launched from Goosepond Bait and Tackle on Lake Guntersville located in Scottsboro, AL. Eighty-three teams went head to head, on a sunny but windy day, to try and win the 2019 Triton 17TX powered by a 60HP Mercury four-stroke with Garmin Echo-map plus 93SV valued at 20K. With a massive six-and-a-half-pound lead over 2nd place, Seth Davis and Brent Butler took the victory weighing in 5 fish for a whopping weight of 29.69 pounds.
