Kleindle Squeaks Out Win On Stockton Lake
Jake Kleindle took the win at the American Bass Anglers Stockton tournament Saturday, November 4. He brought in a 5-fish limit that weighed 15.38lbs and won $640 plus $250 for his 6.17 lb Big Bass. A close second place went to Justin Delk with a 5-fish limit weighing 15.27lbs earning him $389; Delk also missed BB by a few ounces as his went 5.41lbs. The weather included lots of fog, mist and clouds with temperatures just reaching into the 60’s. There was very little wind. Water temperature was 57-60 in most places. Anglers reported catching most of their fish on a spinnerbait in the main lake area.
This was one of a series of tournaments conducted by American Bass Anglers, Division 126, all held on Stockton Lake. This tournament series is a draw format and designed for the week-end angler, boaters and non-boaters from age 14. An ABA membership costing $35 per year is required and allows anglers to fish any ABA tournament. Entry fee for D126 tournaments is $70/angler; a $10 Big Bass option pot is offered.
The next tournament for this circuit will be December 9, 2017, on Stockton Lake using Old State Park as the launch site. The full 2018 schedule can be seen at www.centralmidwestbass.com. The season will culminate with a 2-day Championship August 11-12,2018. Anglers fish each tournament for cash and prizes from area sponsors including Pete’s Convenience Stores, the Outboard Doctor, Albers Marine, Legacy Farm & Lawn and Ken’s Kafe. They also earn points that qualify them to fish a National Championship which will be held October 24-26, 2018 on Hartwell Lake in South Carolina.

Matt Cantrell is one step closer to the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour National Championship with a 1st place win and earned a total of $294.00, in the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour Tournament, held on the Ogeechee River. Cantrell weighed in five bass, which weighed 11.75-lbs.

This decision has been made due to falling lake levels, the ramp and the launch site is inaccessible. Galbraith and Mason win the Triton 100% Plus Team Tour Championship
The team of Roy Galbraith of Guin, Alabama and Richard Mason of Athens, Alabama took home the win in the American Bass Anglers Triton Plus 100% Team Tour Championship, held on Pickwick Lake November 3rd and 4th, 2018. Launching out of McFarland Park in Florence, Alabama, the team of Galbraith and Mason caught a five-bass limit on day one weighing 17.28-pounds
