Kleindle Squeaks Out Win On Stockton Lake
Jake Kleindle took the win at the American Bass Anglers Stockton tournament Saturday, November 4. He brought in a 5-fish limit that weighed 15.38lbs and won $640 plus $250 for his 6.17 lb Big Bass. A close second place went to Justin Delk with a 5-fish limit weighing 15.27lbs earning him $389; Delk also missed BB by a few ounces as his went 5.41lbs. The weather included lots of fog, mist and clouds with temperatures just reaching into the 60’s. There was very little wind. Water temperature was 57-60 in most places. Anglers reported catching most of their fish on a spinnerbait in the main lake area.
This was one of a series of tournaments conducted by American Bass Anglers, Division 126, all held on Stockton Lake. This tournament series is a draw format and designed for the week-end angler, boaters and non-boaters from age 14. An ABA membership costing $35 per year is required and allows anglers to fish any ABA tournament. Entry fee for D126 tournaments is $70/angler; a $10 Big Bass option pot is offered.
The next tournament for this circuit will be December 9, 2017, on Stockton Lake using Old State Park as the launch site. The full 2018 schedule can be seen at www.centralmidwestbass.com. The season will culminate with a 2-day Championship August 11-12,2018. Anglers fish each tournament for cash and prizes from area sponsors including Pete’s Convenience Stores, the Outboard Doctor, Albers Marine, Legacy Farm & Lawn and Ken’s Kafe. They also earn points that qualify them to fish a National Championship which will be held October 24-26, 2018 on Hartwell Lake in South Carolina.

Athens, AL. - Billy Wright Jr. of Fall River, MA won the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour Division 5 New England East tournament presented by American Bass Anglers. Running out of the state ramp in Fall, River, MA Billy Jr. brought back a 5 fish limit that locked in the scales at 11.26 lbs. anchored by a 2.8 lbs. kicker. For the victory, Billy took home a check for $543.00.
Donathan and Sherry Jacks win on Logan Martin Lake
ATHENS, Ala. – Donathan and Sherry Jacks won the Bass Pro Shops Couples Series, operated by American Bass Anglers, Central Alabama Division 1 tournament, held March 16, 2019, on Logan Martin Lake. Running out of Lakeside Landing, the team caught 5 bass weighing 13.06 pounds. For the victory, they earned a check for $405.00. They caught their fish on swim baits.
Georgia Anglers To Tackle Sinclair
ATHENS, Ala. – The Georgia Division of the 2019 Bass Pro Shops Open Series presented by American Bass Anglers will host the second event on April 27, 2019, on Lake Sinclair in Eatonton, GA.
In 2018 Justin Lanier won this event with 19 pounds concentrating on mid-lake with an active shad spawn. Mathew Bullock won the Co-Angler with 8.38 pounds.
The event will launch at Dennis Station Boat Ramp, located at 120 Bagley Lane, Eatonton, GA, 31024. Anglers may begin fishing at 6:30a.m. or safe light. The weigh-in will begin at 3:00p.m. Registration begins at 4 p.m. local time at the ABA stage trailer located at Dennis Station Boat Ramp with the tournament briefing to begin at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening.
North Alabama Team Tour Heads to Neely Henry
ATHENS, Ala. – The North Alabama Division of the 2019 Bass Pro Shops Team Tour operated by American Bass Anglers will hold its second event of the season on April 14, 2019 on Lake Neely Henry in Gadsden, AL. The competitors will launch at Coosa Landing located at 200 Lake St, Gadsden, AL 35903. Registration begins at 4 p.m. local time at the stage trailer at Coosa Landing with the tournament briefing to begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday evening.
