Jason Theis wins 2 Day Championship and AOY DIV 15 on Neuse River

Jason Theis of Hubert, NC won the American Bass Anglers, RAM American Fishing Tour North Carolina East Division 15 2day Championship held August 27th, 2017 on the Neuse River. Running out of Lawson Creek Landing in New Bern, NC Jason brought back a 5-fish limit on day 1 that locked in at 15.20 lbs.  On day 2 Jason stayed consistent, and brought in another 5-fish limit that locked in the scales at 16.38 lbs.  Jason anchored his second days bag with a 4.56 lb. largemouth, which took big fish for day 2 and overall big fish of the tournament.  Jason had a 2day total weight of 31.58 lbs.  giving him the win and securing the title of Division 15 Angler of The Year.  Jason took home a check for $626 for his 1st place victory, combined with his other winnings, he took home a total of $941.

In second among the competitors, Johnnie Beddard of Ayden, NC, brought back a 5-fish limit on day 1 weighing 10.73 pounds anchoring his bag with a 4.43 largemouth.  Day 2 he brought in 2 fish that locked in at 2.84 lbs.  Johnnie had day 1 Big Bass weighing in at 4.33 pounds. Johnnie pocketed a check for $256.00 for his placement and $45.00 for day 1 Big Bass. For a total of $301.00

Taking third place, Gary Keim of Emerald Isle, NC, caught 5 bass on day 1 and 3 Bass on day 2 for a total weight of 13.22 pounds. 

In fourth place, Chad Conwell of Hookerton, NC, caught 5 bass on day 1 and 4 bass on day 2 for a total weight of 12.62 pounds. 

Curtis Leggett of Snow Hill, NC, rounded out the top five competitors with 4 bass on day 1 and 4 bass on day 2 weighing a total of 12.22 pounds.
