Sheron Brown Takes the win on Quaboag Pond

Sheron K Brown of Leominster, MA won the American Bass Anglers, RAM American Fishing Tour Massachusetts Division 36 two-day tournament held August 5th and 6th 2017 on Quaboag Pond.  Blasting off from East Brookfield State Ramp near East Brookfield, MA Sheron brought back a 5-fish limit on the first day locking in the scales at 20.60 lbs. he anchored his bag with a 5.11 lb. kicker.   The second day Mr. Brown brought back 5 more fish that went 9.46 lbs., giving him a two-day total weight of 30.06 lbs. and the Division 36 Championship Victory.  For his victory Brown took home $812.

Second place was taken by Gordon Bocash of Woodstock, CT Mr. Bocash brought back a five-fish limit both days.  The first day’s limit locked in at 16.26 lbs.  he anchored his bag with a 6.18 lb. kicker. The second day Bocash’s limit went 11.15 lbs. at the scales, giving hime a two-day total weight of 27.41 lbs.  For his second-place finish Bocash took home $400.

Mark D. Schultz of Tolland, CT took third place, bringing a 5-fish limit to the scales both days. The first day Mark’s catch locked in at 12.90 lbs. with a 3.61 lb. kicker.  On day two Mark’s limit went 8.84 lbs. on the scales, giving him a two-day total of 21.74 lbs.  He took home $158 for his efforts.

Fourth place amongst the competitors was Randy Pyne of Upton, MA he weighed in limits both days, giving him a total weight of 20.15 lbs.  Randy’s fourth place finish was enough to secure the title of Division 36 Angler of the Year.

Rounding out the top five was Lawrence Larry A. Mongeon Jr. of Brimfield, MA  with a two-day total weight of 19.49 lbs.

These anglers are earning valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual Ram American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of the Year Final Round at the Ram American Fishing Tour National Championship.
