Jared Trimboli wins Two Day and AOY
Jared Trimboli from St. James, New York won the two day RAM American Fishing Tour presented by American Bass Anglers, Connecticut Division 6 tournament, held on August 12, 13, 2017. For day one Jared caught a limit of bass from Candlewood Lake for a total of 11.85 pounds. For day two on Lake Lillinonah Jared could only manage one bass, however that one bass was the tournament big fish and it weighed 5.72 pounds. With that lunker added to his first day catch, Jared easily won the event with a total weight of 17.57 pounds. The win also provided him enough points to earn the coveted title of 2017 Division 6 Angler of the year. Jared said he caught the majority of his fish using Trapper Tackle weights and hooks and by flipping grass in 8-10 feet of water, For the victory, Jared took home $802.00 in cash plus lunker money and he plans on using the newly acquired funds to help defray the cost of traveling to his years National Championship.
In second among the competitors, Nunzio Prato, from Shirley, New York caught a total of 8 bass weighing in at 15.50 pounds. He pocketed a cash award of $374.00.
Taking third place, Leon Dykas of Torrington, Connecticut caught 7 bass weighing 12.99 pounds catching most of his fish on finesse baits and lures.
Rick Holmberg and Chris Weber, both from New York rounded out the top five competitors with 12.42 and 11.04 pounds of bass respectively.

R. V. Mann Jr. wins on Lake Gaston
R. V. Mann Jr., of Whitkers, North Carolina won the AFT Division 17, North Carolina Central tournament on Lake Gaston. The event was held on Lake Gaston on 17 November 2018, launching out of Salmon Landing (Little Stonehouse Creek) off of 903 in Littleton, North Carolina. It was a tough day of fishing starting off in the lower 30’s, warming to around 55 in the afternoon.
Kerry and Heather Wilson win on Lake Jordan
ATHENS, Ala. – Kerry and Heather Wilson won the American Couples Series, operated by American Bass Anglers, Central Alabama Division 1 tournament, held November 10, 2018, on Lake Jordan. Running out of the Bonnor’s Landing, the team caught 5-bass weighing 10.31-pounds. For the victory, they earned a check for $405.00. The Wilson’s caught their fish on swim jigs.
