Dusty and Jessica Robinson Win on Lay LakeATHENS, Ala. – Dusty and Jessica Robinson won the American Couples Series, operated by American Bass Anglers, Central Alabama Division 1 tournament, held May 13, 2017, on Lay Lake.
Running out of Paradise Point in Columbiana, the team caught 5 bass weighing 15.85 pounds. For the victory, they earned a check for $563. The Robinson’s caught their fish on trick worms and flukes in 2 to 3 feet of water.In second for the 15 teams, Bo Hunter and Brandee Johnson caught five bass weighing 14.90 pounds.
Taking third place, the team of Jody Knight and Michele Bressie caught 5 bass weighing 13.73 pounds. Jody won the Man’s Big Fish contest with a 4.71-pounder.
Fourth place was Joseph and Dimple Clevinger who caught 5 bass weighing 13.66 pounds.
Michael Hearn Jr. and Sugar Walker rounded out the top five teams with 5 bass weighing 12.97 pounds.
Amy Shannon won Woman’s Big Fish with a 4.59 pound lunker.The next divisional tournament is June 3, 2017 on Lake Guntersville out of Waterfront.All ABA American Couples Series events involve a team format with each team composed of one man and one woman. Although many married couples compete together as teams, some teams consist of boyfriend and girlfriend combinations, parent-child combinations or just two friends. Contestants between 12 and 18 years old may participate with a parent’s written permission.
The top angling couples from across the nation earn the right to compete in the annual American Bass Anglers Couples Series National Championship tournament.

Tom Ondras wins D39 Two-Day
Tom Ondras of New Lenox, IL, won the Bass Pro Shops American Fishing Tour D39 championship presented by American Bass Anglers. Launching from the Savanna Marina near Savanna, IL Tom brought back a five-fish limit both days for a total weight of 26.44-lbs.
Kentucky Lake Division August 4, 2019
The ABA Bass Pro Shops Couples Tour, Kentucky Lake Division completed their final tournament of 2019 this Sunday. The weather was nearly perfect right up to the weigh-in, at which time Mother Nature dropped high winds and heavy rains for about an hour. Fifteen teams participated today out of the Big Bear ramp. Teams fought a very tough bite all day. A total of 23 bass were brought to the scales for a combined weight of 64.98 pounds. We paid out a total of $1,275.

Davis and Butler win a new Triton boat on Lake Guntersville
Sunday, May 5th, 2019 the ABA Triton 100% Plus Team Tour held its second tournament of the regular season that launched from Goosepond Bait and Tackle on Lake Guntersville located in Scottsboro, AL. Eighty-three teams went head to head, on a sunny but windy day, to try and win the 2019 Triton 17TX powered by a 60HP Mercury four-stroke with Garmin Echo-map plus 93SV valued at 20K. With a massive six-and-a-half-pound lead over 2nd place, Seth Davis and Brent Butler took the victory weighing in 5 fish for a whopping weight of 29.69 pounds.
