Maryland Heads to the Potomac River
ATHENS, Ala. – The Maryland division of the Ram Truck Open Series will hold its season opener on may 13th, 2016, on the Potomac River in Marbury, Maryland.
The competitors will launch at Smallwood State Park, located at 2750 Sweden Point Rd, Marbury, MD 20658. Anglers may begin fishing at 6:00 a.m. or safe light. The weigh-in will begin at 3:00 p.m. Registration begins at 4 p.m. on Friday may 12th at the tournament trailer. To register for this tournament, see Jeff Randall.
To enter, anglers fishing the Boater division pay $200 with co-anglers paying $100. First place is guaranteed a minimum $5,000 first place for boaters. To learn more about the payout visit www.ramopenseries.com/payout.php
Anglers fishing the Boater Division may weigh in up to five bass, each at least 15 inches long. Co-anglers may weigh in up to three bass.
In addition to cash and prizes for top finishers, boater and co-angler competitors fishing this tournament and Ram Truck Open Series events throughout the season may also win contingency bonuses from such sponsors as Triton Boats, Mercury Outboards, MotorGuide, T-H Marine, and ABU Garcia. R. V. Mann Jr. wins on Lake Gaston
R. V. Mann Jr., of Whitkers, North Carolina won the AFT Division 17, North Carolina Central tournament on Lake Gaston. The event was held on Lake Gaston on 17 November 2018, launching out of Salmon Landing (Little Stonehouse Creek) off of 903 in Littleton, North Carolina. It was a tough day of fishing starting off in the lower 30’s, warming to around 55 in the afternoon.
Kerry and Heather Wilson win on Lake Jordan
ATHENS, Ala. – Kerry and Heather Wilson won the American Couples Series, operated by American Bass Anglers, Central Alabama Division 1 tournament, held November 10, 2018, on Lake Jordan. Running out of the Bonnor’s Landing, the team caught 5-bass weighing 10.31-pounds. For the victory, they earned a check for $405.00. The Wilson’s caught their fish on swim jigs.
