Virginia Heads to Lake Gaston

ATHENS, Ala. – The Virginia Division will hold its third tournament of the season on Lake Gaston on 5/13/2017

The competitors will launch from Americamps located at 9 Lakeside lane Bracey Virginia.. Anglers will begin fishing at 6:00 am or safe light until 2:00 pm. Registration will be at the Best Western in South Hill Virginia on Friday 5/12/17. To register for this tournament, see

To enter, anglers fishing the Boater Division pay $200 with co-anglers paying $100. First place is guaranteed a minimum $5,000 for boaters. To learn more about the payout visit www.ramopenseries.com/payout.php 

Anglers fishing the Boater Division may weigh in up to five bass. Co Anglers may weigh in up to 3 bass. 2 bass may be between 12-14 inches in length with the remainder of the angler’s catch being at least 14 inches in length.  

In addition to cash and prizes for top finishers, boater and co-angler competitors fishing this tournament and Ram Truck Open Series events throughout the season may also win contingency bonuses from such sponsors as Triton Boats, Mercury Outboards, MotorGuide, T-H Marine, ABU Garcia and Livingston Lures. The best Ram Truck Open Series anglers from across the nation can advance to the no entry fee 2018 Ray Scott Championship, slated for The Red River 
Shreveport-Bossier LA. April 2nd-8th 2018.
