Vitale Takes Win on Greenwood
Art Vitale of Kenilworth, New Jersey won the AFT New Jersey D10 event held on September 17th at Greenwood Lake. D10 was running out of Small Craft Marina in Hewitt, NJ. Vitale caught five bass weighing 10.78 pounds with a 4.37 -pound kicker Largemouth. For the victory, Vitale took home a check for $337. Art caught most of his fish using soft plastic in deep weeds, Drop Shotting. The Big Fish Side pot was worth an additional $45.00. Art has won the last several events on Greenwood.
In second among the competitors was Al Pallavicini of Ringwood, New Jersey. Al caught four fish weighing 6.01 pounds. Al was pitching soft plastics on docks. He collected a check for $153. Al may have finished better but took it upon himself to rescue a jet skier. Apparently the jet skier thought it would be a good idea to “jump” a stump at wide open throttle,the stump won. Palavincini and his back boater (John Haffy) spent about an hour of their tournament time rescuing the pleasure boater. The jet skier was knocked paralyzed at the time of the incident, but was starting to move when the official rescue boats started to arrive. Roger Farr Takes the win on Greenwood
Roger Farr of Little Mountain, SC won the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour D96 tournament held 12/30/2018 on Lake Greenwood. Running out of Greenwood State Park near Ninety Six, SC Roger brought back a five-fish limit that locked in the scales at 14.38-lbs. For his victory and first place in the option pot, he took home $545, along with the first place trophy.
South Carolina Couples Cancels 12/8 Tournament
The South Carolina Couples Division 11 has canceled the 12/8 tournament scheduled for Lake Wateree. This decision has been made due to falling lake levels, the ramp and the launch site is inaccessible. Jai Hunter Sr. Wins $5500 on Lake Okeechobee
ATHENS, Ala. – Jai Hunter Sr. of Deland, FL won the Bass Pro Shops Open Series Florida Central tournament, held January 19th on the Lake Okeechobee. Running out of Roland Martin Marina & Resort in Clewiston, FL the Jai Sr. caught five-bass weighing 18.10-pounds. For the Boater Division victory, Hunter Sr. took home a check for $5500 for his win.
Galbraith and Mason win the Triton 100% Plus Team Tour Championship
The team of Roy Galbraith of Guin, Alabama and Richard Mason of Athens, Alabama took home the win in the American Bass Anglers Triton Plus 100% Team Tour Championship, held on Pickwick Lake November 3rd and 4th, 2018.
