Morgan Wins on Neuse/Trent River
Monty Morgan of Ayden, North Carolina came in first place at this weekends AFT D15 event on July 23rd, running out of Lawson Creek Landing in New Bern, North Carolina. Monty caught five bass weighing 16.45 pounds. Monty took home a check for $406.00 for first place, Bass Boat Instant Shine for Capt. Gary’s, and $77.00 for the TWT, all totaling $483.
In second among the competitors, Jason Their of Hubert, North Carolina caught five bass weighing 14.39 pounds. Jason also had the Big Bass of the tournament weighing in at 5.63 pounds. Jason pocketed a check for $200 for second place, $130.00 for Big Bass and Fisherman’s Hand Cleaner for Capt. Gary’s for a total of $330.00.
Taking third place, Antwon Moore of Kinston, North Carolina caught five bass weighing 10.78 pounds. Antwon received a check for $79.

David Lowery wins D72 on Oconee
David Lowery of Milledgeville, Ga took home the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour first place trophy and $775 cash for the D72 tournament held on November 30, 2019, at Lake Oconee. David said he caught his five-fish limit early, using a Big Bite Baits Kamikaze Craw on a quarter ounce shaky head. His total scale weight was 15.08 pounds, and it was secured by a 5.01 kicker.
Terry Durham and Ann Boatright win on Lay Lake
ATHENS, Ala. – Terry Durham and Ann Boatright won the Bass Pro Shops Couples Series, operated by American Bass Anglers, Central Alabama Division 1 tournament, held November 16, 2019, on Lay Lake. Running out of the LaCoosa Marina in Shelby, AL the team caught 5 bass weighing 12.15 pounds. For the victory, they earned a check for $450.00.
2020 Bass Pro Shop Open Series Kick Off Event
December 2, 2019, Athens, AL. The first Bass Pro Shop Open Series event is only 41 days away. The 2020 Kick off event will be on Lake Toho. The event will lauch out of Lakefront Park located in Kissimmee, FL on January 11, 2020.
At the 2019 kick off event Eric Panzironi of Longwood, FL weight a big sack of bass of 26.67 pounds to win $5,600 for first place. “I stayed on Toho all day. I found a big school of fish last weekend, and they stayed in the same area. I pulled up to that spot and was done by 9:30 am. Last week they were smaller, but the bigger fish moved up to that area. It feels great to start the season with a win,” Panzironi said.
John Rice and Paul Arnold Take Home Two New Tritons at Chickamauga
John Rice of Huntsville, Al and Paul Arnold of Woodville, Al. won the Bass Pro Shops Team Tour Championship, held October 5th and 6th on Lake Chickamauga. Launching out of Dayton Boat Dock and Grill. John and Paul went straight to work and caught a two-day limit of 10 bass weighing 36.51 pounds. For their victory, the team took home 2 Triton TX-17 boats equipped with 60 HP Mercury outboards and Garmin electronics valued at $40,000.
