Al Gagliarducci Wins on Congamond
Al Gagliarducci of West Suffield, Connecticut won the AFT Connecticut D6 tournament, held on Congamond Lake.
Running out of the ramp landing near the town of Southwick, Massachusetts, Al caught his five bass limit weighing 16.19 pounds. The day proved challenging as it was sunny in the morning, but around noon a strong thunderstorm crossed over the lake with lighting and pouring rains. It didn’t seem to affect Al as he said he caught three of his fish by sight fishing and the other two on topwater. For the victory, Al pocketed $432.00 in cash.
In second among the competitors, Mike Ficarra also caught five bass weighing 13.62 pounds. Mike collected $223.00 for his efforts.
Harold Cote finished in third place with 13.38 pounds earning $79.00 and making it a total top three Massachusetts sweep.
