Ram Open Series Heads to Barkley Lake
ATHENS, Ala. – The Kentucky Division of the Ram Truck Open Series will hold its next event of the season on June 18, 2016, on Barkley Lake in Kuttawa, KY.
The competitors will launch at Kuttawa/Lyon County Boat Ramp, located at 1052 Lake Barkley Dr. Kuttawa, KY. 42055. Anglers may begin fishing at 5 a.m. or safe light. The weigh-in will begin at 2 p.m. Registration begins at 4 p.m. at The Cabin Bait and Tackle where there will be free hotdogs for the anglers provided by The Cabin Bait and Tackle. To enter, anglers fishing the Boater Division pay $200 with Co-Anglers paying $100. First place is guaranteed a minimum $5,000 first place for Boaters. To learn more about the payout visit www.ramopenseries.com/payout.php
Anglers fishing the Boater Division may weigh in up to five bass, each at least 15" for Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Spotted Bass. Co-anglers may weigh in up to three bass.
In addition to cash and prizes for top finishers, Boater and Co-Angler competitors fishing this tournament and Ram Truck Open Series events throughout the season may also win contingency bonuses from such sponsors as Triton Boats, Mercury Outboards, MotorGuide, T-H Marine, ABU Garcia, Maui Jim, and Livingston Lures. Tim Weredyk takes the win on Clarks Hill
On November 11th, 2018 twenty-nine anglers launched from the Dorn Facility Landing near McCormick, SC. The temps started out around 33 degrees and warmed up into the low 60’s by the 3 pm weigh in time. Water temps were in the mid 60’s due to several cold rains before the tournament.
Kerry and Heather Wilson win on Lake Jordan
ATHENS, Ala. – Kerry and Heather Wilson won the American Couples Series, operated by American Bass Anglers, Central Alabama Division 1 tournament, held November 10, 2018, on Lake Jordan. Running out of the Bonnor’s Landing, the team caught 5-bass weighing 10.31-pounds. For the victory, they earned a check for $405.00. The Wilson’s caught their fish on swim jigs.
David Wright Wins $10680.00 On Kerr Lake
ATHENS, Ala. –David Wright of Lexington, North Carolina won the American Bass Anglers Open Series Area 8 Championship held on Kerr Lake on November 3-4, 2018. Running out of Nutbush Park in Henderson, North Carolina, Wright weighed in a day one five-bass limit weighing 21.27-pounds.
Galbraith and Mason win the Triton 100% Plus Team Tour Championship
The team of Roy Galbraith of Guin, Alabama and Richard Mason of Athens, Alabama took home the win in the American Bass Anglers Triton Plus 100% Team Tour Championship, held on Pickwick Lake November 3rd and 4th, 2018. Launching out of McFarland Park in Florence, Alabama, the team of Galbraith and Mason caught a five-bass limit on day one weighing 17.28-pounds
