Draskovic Wins on Guntersville
From Division 29, Alabama North 21 May 2016 Ken Draskovic of Scottsboro, Alabama wins Lake Guntersville event with 15.29 pounds. Ken used a crankbait for the majority of his limit and also credits his Co-angler for recommending use of a jig to finish it off.
There were 21 anglers competing, including two non-boaters. Six anglers brought limits to the scale.
The lake has been fishing very tough and the number of large tournaments being held at the same time made it difficult to find an area worth fishing. Water level was at full pool and slightly stained. The wind was dead calm in the morning, but steadily increased to 15 mph later in the day.
These anglers are acquiring valuable points to insure their birth in this division’s two-day championship and the American Fishing Tour National Championship that will be held this fall at lake Eufaula. Their points are also being used to determine the divisional Angler of the Year. The top angler by points earned in this division will represent the division in the Angler of the Year final round.
The top five anglers:
1 Ken Draskovic 15.29lbs
2 Randall Wooten 14.95 lbs.
3 Scott Marshall 14.49 lbs
4 Tony Tidwell 13.92 lbs
5 Jim Holsenback 11.74lbs
Next Divisional Tournament: This division’s next tournament will be held June 25th on Lake Guntersville out of Goosepond.
